"The property itself was lovely. However, during my two day stay, the water temperature in my room's en suite bathroom was cold, and then tepid, both for the basin and shower. The shower water pressure was also very poor. Finally, I had early starts on both mornings, and the fire alarm went off in my bedroom due to "steam" from the bathroom. I could not switch it off, and it was extremely embarrassing early on a Sunday morning. Staff nice, parking good, but a disappointing stay due to the lack of hot water. "

"The accommodation stayed in was not as advertised, we hoped it would have been a place that was suitable for a night, but it just created worry and discomfort the entire time staying there. The first room we were presented with was not at all as expected, the walls were stained with marks and water stains. The bathroom was dirty and unacceptable. The bed covers and curtains were stained and window sill covered in mould. Having asthma I was not comfortable staying in this room. I rang to reception and requested another room and told them it wasn’t at all how it was advertised, which the receptionist didn’t understand why. They provided us with a second room which was larger and slightly better than the first but still not good enough. Stained walls, mouldy curtains and window cills. However due to being exhausted from travels, we decided to just try and sleep for the long day ahead the next day. Both myself and partner were unable to get any sleep as the bed was terribly uncomfortable, we could feel the spring badly through the mattress. I have attached some images for you to see for yourself. This is completely unacceptable even with it being a cheap stay. The images need reviewing and updated on your site as the public should know what their money is buying them. We complained to hotels.com and they were very unhelpful. The hotel told them it was all fine so wouldn’t help us. Not impressed. Do not say here or book through hotels.com. Not even worth it for a night."

"Very basic, in urgent need of renovation, room above was playing loud music till past midnight, no staff to be found in the evening or at checkout, had to leave keys on desk."

"Plenty of parking with easy access to rooms.Room good size but just needs a bit of attention. Curtains hanging down a bit,2 out of 3 bedside lights not working and some coffee sachets out of date. You have to order breakfast night before,personally dont like this as never know what will feel like,but was beautifully cooked. Easy walk into village where selection of food available for dinner."

"Although the message said someone would be there to greet me, I wasn't sure who, so followed the instructions for the key collection with no problem. Room very spacious, but could do with a socket near the bed and blackout curtains with the bright light in the back. Tried to watch TV, but there were no channels, but was able to watch iPlayer etc instead. The instructions about leaving were a bit confusing. I tried the key safe outside the room, but it didn't open, so I assumed the message meant leave the key in the room, which I did. Later on I did wonder whether I should've put it in the key safe where I actually picked it up from. Apologies for rushing out and forgetting to take down my bowl and wash it up."
