nice staff, inconvenient neighbours

The staff at the Reddoorz were kind, helpful, friendly, and went above and beyond. Unfortunately the room was very dirty. The inside of the toilet was black with mould, and none of the electrical outlets worked. There is also a nearby mosque who loudspeakers every service. Instead of the normal one minute call to prayer that can be heard all over Indonesia, you overhear a full forty minutes- loud enough that I was awoken every night I stayed there from 3:30 am to about 4:10 am. If you are intending to attend the morning service this would be a very good place to stay but if that is not part of your schedule it is a challenge.
