Good place suitable for a sleepover
If you just like a place for sleepover, this is a good place, worth the value. The room and its facilities are old but well maintained. Location not too near to train station, however they are still some little attractions nearby. Overall no complaints for this hotel. Thanks.

Very bad experience. on't stay this hotel.
We change the room 3 times in four night. First night, TV is broken. refrigerator is leaking.Toilet is not working. The person at front desk let us change room. Second night, there is no air condition. they let us change the room again. The third night is Ok. but the next day, someone smoke on next room. The next night they turn off the air condition. I ask them to turn it on, they said someone complain it's too cold.It is 75 degree inside the room. When I made reservation on Hotels.com, there is free breakfast every morning. After I checked in, they told me the restaurant was closed for months. Also when you take shower, the water is running everywhere in the restroom. I will NEVER go back to this hotel again.

A good stay.
have a good stay. Staff are friendly and eager to help. They will come to room and fix the problems right away when I asked for assistance. Although I don’t get used to be asked daily if I would like house keeping to clean my room, Either do have to pass room key to front desk whenever I left the room. I understand they try to be polite and thoughtful.

Run down hotel - doesn’t look like it does in the Expedia pictures - stains on the carpet / bedding / wallpaper, aircon blowing dust, and a really old bathroom.

Cardboard Beds
The hotel is very old. The beds were made out of cardboard. The bathroom floors were wet and dirty. The ceilings were low. The rooms were small. Nothing much in the neighbourhood. Nice and friendly staff who spoke English, gave directions and information. Had to get extra pillows to put under the sheets to make the bed a little more comfortable.

Hotel is a dump. Building should be demolished. Room smelled horrible. No thermostat. Hard bed. Window did not seal. Old carpets. Old non working sauna tub. Price was to include free breakfast, false. Lighting in bathroom sparked when shower was on. Far from MRT station. I checked out early and lost 2 prepaid days to stay at a better hotel.

Nice one
The overall experience is nice. It was just a random trip, which I bought my flight ticket just few hours before the flight, and booked this hotel right after that. Everything was expected and there is a nice bath tub. Still, some improvements can be done, like fixing the hot water dispenser and upgrading the facilities.

Looks like in the middle of South Korea....dirty
Terrible place ....wouldn't stay there again. The bathroom was leaking water and the floor stayed wet. Shower curtain kept falling down. No thermostat for heat or cold.......

The stay was ok ...but the room condition was bad...noisy & smelly. But the staff was helpful & change to another better room. bathroom door was spoilt & the bathtub bait too high. Not recommend to come back.

Not the full picture.
I booked this one very last minute and unfortunately, paid with credit card up front. In retrospect, that was a serious mistake. Chinese New Year Is a bad time to travel so every other property was fully booked. Carpets grubby, linens worn and frayed, beds are hard! Window small and condition of fixtures and furniture very tired and have not been cleaned properly in years. Indeed, the pictures used to advertise this place are very misleading. Smoking allowed in the restaurant, but given the state of the rest of the place, I wouldn't dream of eating there. Don't be mislead. Not recommended.

Depends what you are looking for...
I came to Taipei in the time of a huge exhibition in the city and there was not much choice for the hotels. The hotel is very old and you can see it. But is it clean. The wall papers are falling over, I have never ever slept on such a hard bed. The shower was leaking over the whole bathroom and the walls were so thin that I could hear neighbors conversations over the phone... The breakfasts was very Chinese. Not my type... There is ca. 10 min walk to 2 different MRT stations The staff is very very friendly and very very helpful. And they speak some English.

Shabby but serviceable
The Meadow is nothing special, but good for a last minute stay of a day or two. It's obviously an older building and if you don't mind accommodations with a few rough edges then this place will do just fine. The room was old, but clean, and walking distance from the Brown line MRT as well as some great places for beer.

Poor facility primarily to fool foreign tourists
Looks like the owner doesn't want to spend any money to maintain the facility to offer commercial grade lodging. Taxi driver reminded me the condition is bad so the locals wouldn't go there. In my experience the restroom door can't be closed, nor locked, no temperature control for AC, the light control panel is barely functional. It's listed as a "hotel" but it is indeed an odd apartment/studio, for the same price USD 74 there are other hotels in Taipei for better experience. This place is designed to fool foreign visitors who tend to pay more for less.
