No dresser (mirror) in the room, only in bathroom which is a little bit inconvenient. Cleaners seem honest as no items were lost, however, it seems that the bed sheets are not being replaced or made during our stay.

Hotel had no heat, only AC; we were given a space heater, toilet bowl leaked. They attempted to fix with caulk; I knew that wouldn’t work as they never checked where the leak was coming from. The bed spreads for a king bed consisted of 2 spreads overlapped. I turned the bed spreads horizontally, put one on top of the other & it covered the bed ok. Daily housekeeping was not housekeeping; they only emptied the trash cans & replaced the bath cloths & towels which came in a plastic package….not cotton like regular bath cloths & towels. U must request bed wear change, vacuuming, etc. Rain actually came into the interior window frame somehow! (Shabby window installation?) They added an extra twin size portable bed which took up more space in the room…they told us that was done to all of the Deluxe Double Rooms. But did not contact us in advance. We expected to see the room they show on the Hotels.Com website! We paid in advance; flew almost 15 hours & was not expecting a room with problems. I assumed there would be heat, only to learn most hotels in Taipei don’t supply heat, only AC. They don’t have dressers for clothes either! U literally live out of your luggage! Room was quiet, thank God. There were other problems, but I’ll run out out of characters to include all. The front desk staff did all they could to address & remedy the problems & they were respectful. I’d suggest much falls on the owner(s), not the staff.

Stayed here twice in one week, room 403 first, then 401. 403 was good, 401 was completely different - peeling paint and wallpaper, terrible mold smell, dirty floor, fridge not on, woke up itchy…. Would not go back.

We stayed in a room with a window and enough space for opened luggage. The twin beds are comfortable. The toilet is japanese style which is good. In room mini bar is complimentary. Breakfast is fine with various choices.

Hotel is quite a distance away from the MRT station, est at least 15min normal walk. The twin bedroom was pretty small if you have 2 big luggage. They should change their old and torn towel and also their bedsheet, cos we got some stained sheet and have to ask them to change it. We were using some fitness club towel which I believed it was leftover by some guest. Our room was facing the back lane of other people house so particularly we were unable to open the curtain for some daylight, and there are no day curtain provided too. Despite all that was mentioned, the staffs were very nice and helpful. But for the high price that i have paid during NYE period, i would have gotten a better hotel which are nearer to the MRT.

Great hotel in Ximending
Situated within walking distance to the shopping areas of Ximen, this hotel is a great find! Great hotel reception, nice room with fantastic bathroom too. The breakfast was a little standard, but i will definitely stay here again.

Overall the room was very comfortable. Very good amenities. On a quiet street but close to where the action is. I can understand why there's a bathtub in the bathroom, but also seem a bit out of place given the two shower heads. Would be better to have a longer curtain that can go around the entire bathtub (or a lot of things can get wet). Could also use a couple more electrical outlets (or USB ports). Would definitely stay there again.

Breakfast provided doesn't have much variety. Guests are reminded not to throw toilet paper into the the toilet bowl to avoid clogging. Discard soiled paper in a bin next to the toilet instead. Overall, this place is clean and comfortable.

Amazing staff, perfect location, again amazing staff and hotel attention to detail for the price is very touching. From simple as stocking 4 bottles of water everyday (2 in fridge ) from beautiful bathroom design, very good Ac. I stayed at much more expensive hotels in Asia where the AC was horrible. I thought I wouldn’t like as much given the price and the size of hotel in the pictures I saw. Even if it was smaller then hotels that I usually prefer. I liked it even better because of practicality and efficiency and the service by the staff was excellent given the price. Food was good. Amazing value for your money to find a hotel like this in Ximending.

There are pros and cons. Cons: (1) Wall is not sound proof, you can hear people talking outside the corridor (esp. in the morning) from your room (2) The toilet is actually a glass wall that is covered by curtain. So it is a bit inconvenient. Pros: (1) Hotel is very close to Ximending shopping district (around 7 mins walk) (2) Free buffet breakfast, free tea time drinks & snacks, and free drinks in the reception counter. It's really money-worthy. (3) The reception staff are friendly & helpful. Special thanks to Linda & the male staff on 10/8 night shift duty.

Happy stay at W5
Very good u need to give this hotel a try! I stayed from 13/7 to 16/7 but decided to extend my stay to 18/7/2019 after checking in. It may be a little difficult to locate the hotel at first but go towards PaPa Whale hotel, it is across the road.

Enjoyable stay at Taiwan
It is a small cosy hotel situated between Taiwan main station n Ximen station. Each station is about less than a kilometre away.(approximately 500-800 meters). The staff were very friendly and courteous. Very helpful in every thing. Special mention for the following staff: CoCo Linda Sean The hotel provides daily breakfast Taiwan cuisine and some western selections. The famous Taiwan Braised pork rice with egg is available every day. There’ are other dishes provided and menu changed daily. I enjoyed the braised bean curd, bean curd skin and the fried cabbage very much. As for western it is corn flacks, bread (different types) with cordiments of garlic spread, Nutella, jams and butter. There is also waffles. Yes, there was free mini bar too! I thoroughly enjoyed the coffee freshly grind from coffee seeds. The coffee is available 24 hours! The staff were very attentive to our needs and the room was very comfortable with bath tub and auto wash toilet seat with warmer. I enjoyed the stay so much that I have extended another two days! Will be back here soon! Highly recommended!!

Location is central, walking distance to Beimen mrt station and Ximending. Toilet is spacious and very clean! Room is sound proof, you can't hear your neighbours unless you are

The service is great The staffs are very kind and helpful They will give some suggestion on traffic One thing should be reminded that the cleaness of the bed sheet should be improved coz I found some bloodstains. I knew all products must be cleaned but the first impression see this is not good. Hope your hotel can keep it.

1 day business trip in Taipei
Only stay for 1 night because of the business meeting. The location is good, close to the busy shopping area of the heart of Taipei, but not too close. The services were excellent. Only the hotel is a little bit old but in fair condition. Overall a good selection with a tight budget.

Cozy, clean and convenient bus stops
