"We had a great stay at Hakuba Sun Valley. Our room was perfect - a mix of western bed with Japanese futons at the loft which the kids loved so much. The location is great - less than 5 min walking distance to the Iimori ski resort where we had our lessons. The staffs were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the chat with them during breakfast and dinner, and they did their best to accommodate our dietary restrictions. The food was wonderful and really happy to be welcomed with dinner in an a cozy dining room after a long day of ski. They offered shuttle from/to the ski resort, but they even went all the way in offering us a lift when we needed to do a bit of errands, and we ended up having great conversation on the way from which we learned more about Hakuba, too! "The staff were very responsive and friendly. The hotel was also very warm and inviting - they lit the fireplace on some nights and there were fun amenities in the lobby like hammocks and a foosball table. My 9 year old daughter loved the kid's club and was there before dinner everyday. My husband and I also loved the gym - it was very clean and well equipped. The onsen was also wonderful, especially the outdoor section. The breakfast buffet selection was very wide and we needed a couple of days to finish discovering all the dishes. Parking was free and very convenient - we were able to park very close to the lobby. The room was spacious and had a huge powder room and a very clean shower and bath area. Housekeeping was very good at making sure we were well supplied with drip coffee and bottled water everyday. The only small downside was the distance between the hotel and the closest town. Thankfully we drove, so it wasn't difficult to get in and out. The surrounding area is beautiful and we would love to visit again not just for the hotel, but also for the scenic spots!"

"Everything was perfect. They even have different types of shampoo at the lobby for you to try. However, the ones in the room are already good enough. My dry hair became so soft and manageable. The staff were excellent - helpful and patient. True Japanese hospitality and service. There is free coffee and tea at the lobby with a small area for guests to relax and read newspapers too. Loved its proximity to the train station, especially if you are travelling a lot. "

"We stayed in the Double Room, Non Smoking (15 sqm). The room is compact but efficient, with a small bath tub in the bathroom and a humidifier that you fill with your own water before switching on. Free hot drinks are available at the lobby throughout the day. Check in was smooth and straightforward, and the hotel already had our Expedia reservations ready. As with most Japanese hotels, copies of our passports were taken at registration. Coin laundry facilities are available at the lobby, along with vending machines for drinks and beer. The washer costs Y200 for a 31 minute cycle, detergent is Y30, and the dryer is Y100 for every 10 minutes. The location is excellent. The hotel sits just across the road from Toyama Station and is also beside a Family Mart, making it very convenient for quick snacks and essentials. A shopping mall with multiple food options is within short walking distance. Luggage delivery via Ta-Q-Bin was easy to arrange. Each bag requires its own slip, and the process was handled efficiently by the hotel."
