"I've stayed at the property several times whilst attending a work training event. On a number of occasions I have been allocated a room on the opposite side of the hotel from the rest of my colleagues. When I queried this at check in, I was advised there were no other rooms available. What I also find disappointing is that one of my colleagues consistently appears to receive room upgrades, yet whenever I have politely asked, I am told that nothing is available. During my most recent stay, after reaching down to my bag at reception, I stood up and noticed the receptionist laughing with a colleague whilst looking in my direction. Whether intentional or not, it came across as unprofessional and uncomfortable. I have another work training session at the beginning of June and, although the Park Royal would have been the most convenient option, I have chosen to stay elsewhere instead. If staff are going to mock or laugh at guests, I would at least expect it not to happen within view of the check in desk. Very disappointing and not the level of professionalism I would expect. As a result, I will not be staying at the hotel again in future."

"Lovely hotel in a great location. Easy access to the train station and a 5-10 minute walk to the town centre. Nice twin room and good breakfast options. Staff all friendly. The only downside is parking next to the hotel is convenient but very expensive."

"We have been coming here every year for the last 10 years. Decor hasn’t changed and really is in need of a refurb now. Breakfast was also really disappointing this year, no decent hot drinks unless you paid for them in addition to a hot breakfast. Also VERY surprised having to pay for breakfast before leaving the restaurant (rather than at check out) This used to be the gold standard hotel to stay at for the races but not now I’m afraid."

"Great hotel, bed was super comfortable however your plumbing needs a little work with the noise it makes when running water. If someone was in the shower it went off ever ten seconds like a train horn and it became irritating. Didn’t matter if you used the shower, toilet or sink it went off. Other than that, it’s a fabulous hotel, stunning in and out."
