"The bed was firm & comfortable, and the shower was good and hot. There was a good selection at breakfast - nice breads, well-cooked hot food, and a reasonable range of healthy options. Everything was very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only downsides were noise related: the bedroom windows could have done with another layer of glazing as there was quite a lot of activity going on outside at times overnight - luckily I had earplugs - and the music was really far too loud at breakfast."

"Lovely one night stay at the farm. Family run and everyone was very friendly and welcoming and even took time to show us around the farm. Room was basic but clean. Had tea, coffee and biscuits in room. Breakfast is cooked to order and fresh eggs were lovely. Road up to property is not for the faint hearted as very narrow lane for a couple of miles. But the farm is the final destination on the lane. Only a 5 mins drive into Tavistock where there are lots of places to eat. Great base for a night away at a family run working farm with fantastic views of the countryside. "

"Room was very untidy. Found an old sock behind the curtains which looked like they had been there a while. Stains on the carpet and the chair at the end of the bed. The noise is awful on the main road outside of my room which kept me awake through the night. Parking fills up very quick as well if you arrive later."

"After having been to Tavistock nearly every other year for the last 74 years, 54 with my wife, we always wanted to stay in the Bedford. I booked the Bedford this year and I was not disappointed. It was clean with the rooms done everyday, the meal selection throughout the day was excellent and the staff very helpful. It is also pet friendly. There is an outside garden with which to sit with a drink and relax. The parking is ample but has a cost of £8.00 per day if you do not book your stay direct with the hotel. It will definitely be used again on my next visit"
