"We received the room 602 on the top floor. It was in my opinion the best room with an amazing view towards the Rhone river and the basilica on the hill. Everything in the hotel was perfect, good breakfast and 24h access to the club area where we could have enjoyed coffee and snacks anytime we wanted. The hotel location is perfect, walking distance or "bike distance" to all "the musts" in Lyon city. We hope to return to Lyon, to the Okko hotel and to the room no. 602 in the Okko hotel soon!"

"We loved our stay at Hotel du Theatre! Reception staff Esther and Louis were wonderful, breakfast just what we needed, location was excellent and we would definitely recommend this hotel. Stairs not a problem for us as we only carried our luggage down. Merci beaucoup de La part de deluxe canadiens!"

"The hotel is in an excellent location for staying in Lyon. Place Bellecour, the Vieux Lyon, Place des Terreaux, the shops, both rivers and the Croix-Rousse are within a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel and room were very clean, breakfasts were good, coffee machine made lovely coffee and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Only one negative would be that if there had been two of us staying an additional couple of towel rails would have been good to dry damp towels on."

"Clean- helpful staff; good location. Would recommend. They are part of a larger hospitality group. The globe didn’t have hot water when we were to check in, so they made arrangements for us to stay at another equally rated hotel in their group. They took care of all the transfer details for us. Both hotels are great. Le Phenix and The Globe & Cecil."

"Very nice hotel and staff was excellent. We booked a Jr Suite with river view, which was plenty large for France, however the road below is extremely busy and very loud. There is also very limited privacy in the bathroom. Shower is wide open and the toilet area has smoked glass providing limited privacy. "

"It’s the first time I’ve not enjoyed the breakfast, which was disappointing. More concerning, however, was the service. Some staff came across as rude. while I understand not everyone may be comfortable speaking English, and probably it was a busy morning as well. But it’s not acceptable to speak about guests in another language, murmur behind them, or stare with visible frustration. Is this really the level of hospitality that this Marriott in Lyon aims to offer its guests? Was excited about the day to begin but this just happen to me at the restaurant. The day is just ruin. "
