"This hotel is worth the stay for the history alone! However, it being centrally located to everything in Florence (museums, shopping, dining, churches, etc) is the real appeal. Most of the staff spoke and understood English, which was nice. They were extremely helpful with any questions we asked. I would absolutely stay here again."

"Fabulous hotel close to all proximities. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants and famous sites. Cathedral Santa Maria is a 1 min walk, train station 5-7 min walk. All other sites are walking distance - I didn’t have to use a taxi once. The hotel staff is exceptional and making sure your stay is enjoyable."

"We stayed at the 3 nights at room with a balcony and it was wonderful, the staff was amazing. We stayed an extra night and they moved us to smaller room looking at the hidro pool before we checked out of the big room. The breakfast was superb. They have a large variety of foods. We had dinner there one night and it was ok."

"Less than a 20 minute walk from the train station is definitely an asset. But the friendliness of the staff, the excellent breakfast and the historic building itself are great benefits to boot. Close to the usual historical sites, there are also plenty of places to eat within a 5 to 10 minute walk. The part of the building where the hotel is located is itself a historic building (convent and orphanage from the early 17th to approx. the 19th century. In one word: “great”. I would definitely return to the hotel should I be traveling to Florence again."
