"I can’t say enough good things about Hotel IX and the wonderful host, Merel. After searching for a place on Google and Hotels.com, we found Hotel IX and after our stay in the Runstraat Suite we have no hesitation in recommending it. The accommodation is great, the location is perfect and the overall experience was seamless. Our room had a huge photo of the Runsraat streetscape, and we went and checked it out in person and recreated the photo, which is a cool little touch."

"Wow. We had an overnight in Amsterdam and thought we’d stay in the canal area. So glad we did. What a gorgeous hotel. Perfectly quirky, full of art in every space with a restaurant and bar, and several reading rooms. Our room was comfortable and well-designed for a small space. Bathroom was large though and included towel heaters. I’d recommend and stay here again. It’s truly lovely. "

"Honestly, the quality of the rooms is on a whole other level. The staff was wonderful. The restaurant, well simply amazing. It’s only con (which may be a pro to some people) is that you are literally on Dam Square. So it’s busy, very busy. Other than that, no notes! "

Not only are the interiors beautiful but the beds are ridiculously comfortable. Location wise you are in the heart of things so nothing is too far to cycle or walk. "Looking out our hotel window at the canal every morning was a treat! The location was perfect right in the Nine Street area. The rooms were clean, although a bit on the smalll side. The breakfast had many options, but we chose to eat out most days. The Stroopwaffle shop down the street was an added plus! "

The hotel sits in front of a canal. Clean. The streets were so clean. Ann Frank house — close walk to this site. I highly recommend getting tickets. "This hotel was lovely. We traveled with a 10 month old and they were kind to give us a room in the top floor so we had quiet away from the road noise. There are stairs (as this is common with architecture in AMS). The staff was attentive, kind and accomodative. The location of the hotel was great as well, walking distance to the lovely Jordaan neighbourhood and accessible to Trams. "
