"Very nice hotel. We had a King size bed overlooking Buckingham fountain. Booking a park view room is highly recommended. The shower/bathroom is on the smaller end, however, knowing the history of the hotel, it comes at no surprise. The hotel itself has so much history and has quite a few famous guests throughout it's time. We are already planning our next trip back to Chicago and will likely stay here again! Highly recommend staying here!"

"Our stay at the River Hotel was fantastic! Check-in was easy and fast, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the location was perfect. It’s within walking distance of so many great places, which made exploring the area incredibly convenient. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back!"

"Over all our stay was not bad but we expected it to be cleaned daily and have replaced with new ones. That did not happen. The only reason we did not make much fuss about it is because we were out most of the time but it would have been nice to come back to a bed made and new towels."

"The staff was very friendly and helpful with questions. The rooms are outdated but they were clean. There are a few things that could be fixed. We needed to run the air conditioner fan all the time to avoid a banging sound each time the unit kicked in and each time we would turn off the TV we had a hard time getting it back on due to either the remote not working or the cable in the back being loose. I do have to say that they sent someone up immediately to take a look. Overall, it was an OK place to stay for the price we paid."
