"I have knee problems and had to climb so many steps to get to restaurants. Don’t recommend if you are wheelchair or crutches bound since there’s no lift. Loved the surrounding which was quiet and peaceful walking through the jungle was safe. Best for relaxation and out of busy city life"

"The villas are incredibly well made, and everything is just so easy to organise! The area around the villas is what I had pictured when I thought of “original ubud” which is what our driver said about the area. The street is quiet - no traffic- and an ebike tour was the most traffic we saw the whole time. It was close to all the great sites - heaps of waterfalls around, goa gajah, the water temple, the rice fields. A great place to base yourself out of, however you might never want to leave...

"Great new suites but due to the harvest time of rice fields there were rats and mice everywhere, including in the room, the staff were so apologetic and went well out of there way to catch them and blocking the roof holes. no fault of the resort and they really tried hard to please"

"This was our 4th stay in Sebatu; previously at an adjacent but now closed property. We chose Uma Kelod due to it's location, solid and modern appearance and great value tariff. The room was adequate, clean and well maintained. It had only basic facilities - a jug with basic coffee and tea, a regular TV, adequate AC (but no fans), and a small bar fridge. "I had a very pleasant stay at Maru Fortuna. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and I enjoyed having access to the pool whenever I wanted. Breakfast was delicious and a great start to the day. I also tried the full Balinese massage package — it was okay, though a bit average compared to my expectations. The location is just outside of Ubud, which made it a peaceful retreat. Transport was available on-site whenever I needed a lift. The staff were extremely friendly and always ready to help with anything I needed."

"The hotel is really beautiful, you get the WOW effect upon arrival. The staff is the nicest people we ever met. I think is one of the most beautiful hotels and views of UBUD. The landscape, the common areas, the spa, the restaurant… everything is just amazing! Our Butlers were amazing, always ready to help and taking care of every detail! The only negative that we can say is that water of the private pool in our villa was so cold we couldn’t use it and, due to the high humidity of the area, the villa has a smell of humidity quite intense. The staff kindly gave us some incense so we would mask a bit the smell. Also, we found that it wasn’t nice that when you order a taxi, the hotel makes 2-3 times more money than the actual driver. Instead of just calling you a taxi, they pay the taxi and charge you for x3 the usual rate. "

"I had an absolutely incredible time here! The staff was so attentive, kind and truly some of the best service I’ve ever had. I traveled solo and the staff was checking in on me as well as sharing more about themselves and their culture which was just so wonderful. The food is delicious, the gym was great for a quick workout and the airport transport made the experience so seamless. The actual architecture of the villas being made out of bamboo was just stunning as well as the views for the rice terraces. I also did a complimentary yoga class which the instructor was so patient and incredible as explaining yoga and the importance of it. I also arrived on the Thursday and did the cultural dinner which the traditional food was just delicious whilst seeing the traditional dancing. Lastly, the villas themselves are so well equipped with all necessary toiletries, towels, robes, comfortable beds, radio and all you could need to have a peaceful and memorable getaway. "
