"Stayed for one night, booked last minute the day before traveling North from Switzerland, needed somewhere in the black forest with good check-in/out times and somewhere to securely park the bike (car park right by the hotel, plenty of eyes on it and it's quite a secluded location so no concerns!) - great little beer garden, food in the restaurant was excellent and the breakfast was great - great value and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!"

"Hier werden noch immer alte Bilder benutzt, die definitiv nicht der Wahrheit entsprechen.Wir waren ehrlich gesagt sehr unzufrieden. Die Fotos auf Hotels.com. waren so schön. Unser Apartment war sehr ungepflegt mit kaputten Möbeln eingerichtet und nicht sehr sauber. Das Geschirrhandtuch hat gemüffelt, das Wasser in der Dusche lief nicht ab, überall waren Handabdrücke die wohl jemand mit Absicht hinterlassen hat, das Spülung war ranking, die Seife im Bad alt und im allgemeinen haben wir uns...

Novotel Freiburg am Konzerthaus

8/10 Good

"It's a decent hotel in Freiburg. Positives are it was air conditioned (though not too cool), pet friendly, central location and has car park (note, I drive a Ford Ranger pick-up and it was very tight in the underground car park - don't even attempt anything bigger). Main gripe was at check-in (which took nearly 30mins after a very long drive). Matey tried to charge me double the confirmed Expedia rate as he claimed that my 17 year old son should pay adult rate when Expedia shows <18 yr olds as children. He then told me the hotel was fully booked out if I didn't pay the excessive rate and it was my fault for not knowing Novotel see 16+ as adults. Cue much discussion and then he eventually placated. Other guy on desk tapped on the computer next to him pretending not to notice the long cue forming behind me. Not a great experience on that front but otherwise ok."

"This was a great stay, I was a bit nervous based on recent reviews, but I found the staff to be helpful, the room was clean and a good size, with air conditioning, and we were able to use the luggage room before check in / after check out. The 12PM checkout time was also appreciated. Based on the cost for 3 nights compared with other hotels, this was very good value and I would happily recommend and stay again. Things to note: one water provided, not replenished (we used tap water after this), limited toiletries (just hand soap / combo shampoo body wash in the shower, but we had our own)."

"Really lovely hotel. The staff were wonderful and accommodating. The area is a short tram ride from the station and the centre of the city. I was pleasantly surprised by my room which was spacious and comfortable. Obligatory kettle which is required in any good hotel room but a rarity abroad sometimes. Well worth a stay"

"The property is not easily a accessable via public transport. The bus from either side of the road runs every 1 hour only( usually 5-8 minutes late), so if you plan a connecting bus or train, you shall plan accordingly else can miss neck 2 neck connections. Problem is with Hotels.com description...which makes it look goodie- goodie and easy going! Best if you come by own vehicle/ car !"
