Cheap apartment with good access to Tokyo centre
The apartment is close to Shin Egota subway station, so it was easy to get in and out of Tokyo,which took about 30 minutes. The property and facilities are a bit worn but otherwise clean and spacious

Too far and in need of updating.
It takes almost an hour to get there from the main train station. The place needs to be updated since it has old appliances, and an old bathroom. There is only one air conditioner, in the bedroom, so it is impossible to cool down the kitchen area and adjacent room to a comfortable level. As soon as we got there and saw it, we decided to rent a hotel room in another location near the train station and we did not stay there at all.

The apartment was clean and fitted 4 people well with 2 separate rooms. A little out of main Tokyo, although this meant it was quiet.

Authentic Japan Experience, Can't wait to return!
This is not a hotel! It is a 2 bedroom apartment in the traditional Japanese style. It was cozy and showed what it was like to live like the locals. There is no elevator so we had to walk up 4 floors, but the ceilings are fairly low so it was like 3 US stories. We slept in one bed room and used the second as a dressing room since it was just 2 of us but it fits 5. The bedroom had legit Japanese style futons on tatami mats on the wooden floor, it delivered the authentic Japanese home life as depicted in anime. Because it was an apartment there was no room service, but there are plenty of stores, restaurants, and bars nearby. Instructions and maps all in English were left for us on the kitchen table as well as a hot spot to borrow for the week. We went in winter so it was cold and only the bedrooms have heaters. No central air/heat like in the U.S. but smaller units like in Puerto Rico, which we got used to quickly. Bathroom was interesting with complete instructions on how to use the shower and bath tub and the restroom were separate rooms like in many Japanese homes. Because it was an apartment, we had to clean up after ourselves and left things how we found them. You receive the email with a map on how to get to the apartment, but you cant see the street names, you should google it first with street names. We were lost for a bit getting there, but once we found it it was easy. There were good landmarks, like a pedestrian bridge marking left at the next light for Toyatama.

Cheap budget apartment close to city
Cheap apartment close to train lines and city. It is dated, but neat and tidy, had washing machine and powder supplied. Line to hang washing which faces east so sun good. Shops in close vicinity. Suited my budget and family of 4. If you want modern then not for you. Free portable wi-fi unit too. Must read email instructions to access as no one on site and to use hot water.

Value for money
Keeping in mind that this is Tokyo (where living space really comes at a premium), an apartment for this price is really value for money. I had no problems with the cleanliness of the entire place - the towels were clean, so were the toilet and bathroom. The water heater was a bit hard to use, but I think they have taken the trouble to explain it as simply as possible. All in all, a good experience.

Less than 10 mins walk from subway station. Near by mini markets. The apartment is small (not too small by Tokyo std) bit clean and tidy. If you can put up with thin matress on the floor, you are okay. Equiped with fridge/freezer and small kitchenette. If you just need a place to sleep, shower and may be a quick meal, this place is fantastic for budget tourists. We stayed 10 days and happy with it.

Gave a real feel of what living in Japan was like.
Came here with my fiance and the apartment was really tidy and neat. I am 6' 4" and it was a little too short for me just as the rest of Japan was. I do not mind crouching though.

Pictures are not always the best way to chose.
We chose this hotel based on the photos on the web site. Unfortunately if we had known these were of the larger unit I would have chosen that unit. Room 403 had a tiny dining room with a small table with three chairs. A bed room with three mats and a single hot plate in the kitchen. The sink in the kitchen was not hooked to the wall and the bath drained onto the floor, basically flooding the entire bathroom. I truly do understand this is a Japanese apartment but I think the photos should reflect the truth.

Great wee place to stay.
It was awesome to have our own place, with everything we needed. Loved not having to share bathrooms & toilets & it was fantastic to be able to do laundry whenever we wanted. When we arrived there was a map of the metro/subway, as well as 2 other visitor guide books as well as a portable wifi box which were all very handy & greatly appreciated. Our closest subway station was about 7-8min walk & was on a main route into town etc.

Neat little apartment on outskirts of city
We loved the location of this apartment, very close by to two main train lines. It is a little older but maintained decently. The staff left useful maps and pamphlets and the pocket wifi was great to have!

The apartment was very dirty. There were hair in the beds showing that the bedding was not changed after previous occupants. The fridge was very dirty and smelled horribly so we couldn't put anything inside. The bathroom had mold at many places. The whole place looked very worn. On the bright side, it was well located, just 15-20 minutes to the city center.

Takano Apartment
Expedia should remind its customers to review the hotel refund policy before booking. Takano Apartments only offer 50% refund for early cancellation. We had four people to stay in this apartment for four nights (room 410). One big and small bedroom, two futon beds in each room. The big bedroom has heater/cooler and TV, the small bedroom has a small heater but with no operating instructions. Door frame to the bathroom is a bit short for people over 5'8. Has smoke detector, free pocket wi-fi (rated 5 stars, smooth and fast and unlimited use), one towel and face clothe per person for four nights. You need to clean up all the garbage and leave it at the ground floor storage area. Futon beds (rated one star), pillows and beds are hard, the blanket between the comforter and the bed was making us itchy so we didnt use the blankets. Washroom (rated one star), the bath tub and the sink are dirty, you can see the dirt on them. The bathroom has a lot of dead flies on the ceiling (that's gross), the washroom smell of smoke but after two days its gone. Toilet seat has a blood spot underneath. Four people for this apartment is a bit small with four luggages, i would not recommend if cleanliness is important to you.

Equipped apartment not far from Haneda Airport
Equipped apartment (towels, futons, crockery, cutlery, micro-wave, toaster, stove, heater, air con etc) not so far from Haneda Airport. Just take monorail to Hammatsu - Cho station (about 20 mins). Then change to Oedo subway line for approx. 30 min trip to Shin - Egota Station. Apartemnt is 7-8 min walk from this station. A map and directions will be given to you upon booking. The apartment is average size 2 bedroom apartment (one room used as living room), the other room contains 3 futons for sleeping. All instructions are given regarding operation of gas operated hot bath, air-con, access to apartment key etc. Maps of area are also provided. It may take a day or 2 to get used to it but it is worth it and far better than having 2-3 people share a tiny hotel room for more than a few days. Transport via the Oedo subway quickly connects to other lines so that any destination can be reached. The key for the apartment is accessed through opening the combination lock sitting on the front door latch. The combination lock contains the key inside. A very well stocked supermarket and pharmacy are opposite oedo station so it is very easy to buy food to prepare and eat it in the apartment. I would recommend Takano apartments to groups of 2 -3 people who wish to stay in Tokyo for more than a few days. If any problem arises (in our case none did) simply call the owner who will give you his contact number. He speaks excellent English. (NB) Hotel staff in this case refers to the owner)

I really felt like home when i stayed in this apartment, quite complete facilities provided. Apartment is a typical japanese apartment style. Recommended for a small family or small group of friends. I had a great time staying here. Take Tokyo Metro Subway (Oedo-line) and alight at Shin-Egota station. Owner will provide you with a guideline, very useful.

En bra lägenhet för längre period. Fanns gott om köksarticklar och två rymliga sovrum och 1 balkong. Blev dock väldigt varmt under sommaren, och avsaknad av speglar var minus. Det finns ingen Hiss så att dra väskor till högsta våningen var väldigt omständigt. Men överlag en bra lägenhet som var ren och fräsch. Relativt nära till tunnelbanan som tar dig in till centrum av stan på 10-15 min. Är du sugen på att vara gå och äta, finns restauranger och mataffärer längst vägen till tunnelbanan shin-egota. Annars ligger Ekoda 10 min gångväg bort med både restauranger och tunnelbana.

滞在中はまあまあ快適に過ごせました。 洗濯機もあったので洗濯もできてよかったです。 でも、最終日の朝にトイレが詰まってしまったのが残念でした。 マンションの配管は一軒家よりも細いと聞いたので今後そこら辺のことも気をつけてチェックをお願いしたいです。

エアコン、洗濯機、電子レンジ、お風呂等はちゃんと使えることが出来ました。布団もぐっすり眠ることが出来ました。食器や調理器具については前の宿泊客に洗浄を任せているのか少し汚く感じました。

A great place to stay (for two)
We had a very plesant stay at this apartment. The apartment was at least three times as big as a regular hotel room in Japan, so we had plenty of space to move around. The kitchen appliances, especially the microwave and toaster oven, were life savers whenever buying pre-made food from the convenience store. Not to mention how handy it is to have a full-sized fridge/freezer! There's also a TV you can use, with a few of Japan's major channels, like TV Tokyo and Fuji TV. There was at least 3 vending machines with soda near the entry to the building, so you won't thirst to death. There's also a few restaurants beneath the apartments, but we didn't try them out. The best part about this stay has to be the portable wi-fi. Bring a phone with google maps and GPS, and you can pretty much find every place of interest with ease. (Great for playing Pokemon Go too, without using insane amounts of data). Close to "Shin-Egota Station" too, it won't take you more than seven minutes to walk there Now to the negative feedback... There's an air conditioner, but only in one out of the two bedrooms. This didn't bother us, since we were only two people, but could be a problem for a family or people not wanting to sleep in the same room, especially during the dreadful "33 celsius or more" summer heat. They did give you a portable fan too, though. The bathroom wasn't very clean either, with multiple strands of hair around the bathtub and some moldy spots around in the room.

편안한 숙박이 되었습니다. 침구와 수건의 위생상태는 보통이었지만 세탁기가 있어서 별 문제는 없었습니다. 시내와도 가깝고 마트도 주변에 있어서 편했습니다.

充分體驗日式住宿
位於市郊的獨戶住宿,室內空間足夠,有榻榻米房,晚上也很安靜,退房時須自己處理垃圾,可以體驗真正住在日本的感覺,唯一的缺點是沒有電梯,行李需搬上搬下

가격에비해 잘되있었습니다. 301호 묵었구요 신에고타 역에서 나오면 바로 신호등건너에 약국이있고 내려서 3분정도 쭉걸어오기만하면 숙소입니다 찾는데어러움도없고 마트와약국이 붙어있고 마트는 새벽까지 이용가능합니다 (마트가 커요 살것도 많고) 그리고 방은 히터기가 잘돌아가고 온수도 잘나와서 너무좋았고 무엇보다 저렴한데 넓다는점. 거실 방두개 이가격에 못구합니다. 청결은 호텔같은청결은아니지만 일반가정집정도입니다. 수건은 준비되있지만 가져와서쓰는게 좋습니다.(냄새나요) 평가 점수는 이가격대로비교했을때 5점만점에 ☆☆☆☆ 입니다.

Great place in west neighborhood and near the subway oedo line. the apartment was quite dirty especially the rooms (hair and little critters) and kitchen (many traces of closets, bold). Little equipment in the kitchen: dishes mismatched, no glasses and knife. Too bad. Low maintenance make it very valuable housing.
