The check in procedure was cumbersome. You have to email them some details including your ID and a selfie. You also pay the damage deposit via PayPal before they send you the check in details. Note that contrary to the information from Expedia, there is no front desk for the accommodation. The security people there do not have anything to do with check in. Everything has to be done remotely. Once the check-in hassle was over, the studio apartment was nice. It had all the usual amenities including a cooker, microwave and utensils. The apartment was on the 13th floor of a condo in the heart of Yonge Street in Downtown Toronto with all the shops and restaurants. Perfect for the University and hospitals. The host needs to improve on the check-in process. The damage deposit was refunded after a few days.

The property management team asked "refundable" safety deposit before I can check in, after I checked out and did everything they asked(dish washer, laundry), they never refund my safety deposit. I emailed them asking for the deposit and got no reply. Is this a scam?

I was already charged extra for the second guest — something I considered odd but accepted at the time. What followed was, without exaggeration, the worst hotel experience I’ve had — and I say this having accumulated over 1,000 hotel nights in the past. First, we were provided with only one key. This created an absurd logistical nightmare. It made it impossible for one person to use the gym while the other went out, because the single key was required both to access the elevator and to lock the apartment door. When I requested a second key — a completely reasonable ask given that I booked for two guests — GLOBALSTAY demanded an additional charge. So in total, I was expected to pay extra twice simply so both guests could independently come and go from the room. That’s unacceptable, exploitative, and borders on absurd. The bed, allegedly meant for two, was a cramped 140 cm. The terrace doors and windows were disgustingly filthy, clearly not cleaned for quite some time — In short: DO NOT book GLOBALSTAY. This was a deeply disappointing, frustrating, and infuriating experience from start to finish. I strongly advise anyone considering a stay here to look elsewhere — anywhere else.

This entire booking was a nightmare. They want you to reply by email (should be done on this platform) or phone (which they don't answer). They ask for your ID by email (which is a security nightmare) and a deposit by p a y p a l (which expedia says you shouldn't pay anything off the platform). Constantly asking for emails, all to send a goog file link. Arrived and we couldn't get into the building without help. Had to slip in with other tenants. Security said this company always does this and they shouldn't be letting us in. There's a lockbox in the staircase with only ONE key. The extra single bed is IN THE KITCHEN. It's a small cramped place. The photos are misleading. The bedroom door doesn't close unless you move the bed. Nightmare check in. Terrible communication. Don't stay here. Called support twice. First call was good. 2nd call, they told me I had to send my ID and pp my deposit. The other choice was to cancel my reservation and lose my full payment. Everything is about this booking was a nightmare.
