"Unlike many cabins/cottages, this has a separate bedroom. It is VERY small and a struggle to get in/out of the far side of the bed. Also, there was no place to put our suitcase other than the floor, which made it a little challenging to unpack clean clothes. We didn’t sleep well because the pillows were not usable for a stomach or back sleeper."

"It's an amazing place to live it, the property is huge, rooms are comfortable and the people are helpful. It's a little on the outside, so if you need to get any food or things, it's best to plan in advance. This is because we did not choose to eat dinner at the property. The breakfast was amazing, a much better spread than the other places we lived at in Iceland."

8/10 Good
"My husband and I enjoyed our room at the Barn. It was very much over our budget but we booked late and there were few options for a room with a private bathroom in Vik. Despite the expense, we were happy with the size and cleanliness of the space. Our room was set in a seperate single-floor building with just a few units, so it was quiet and also had a lovely view of the surrounding hills. It looked like a newer building but was a little worn in areas - stained blinds, some worn paint and a loose sink faucet. This didn't affect our 1-night stay but could be a small area for improvement."

"Hidden Gem. Its hard to find hotels in the area. We stayed one night and found this location convenient since everything within Vik area was already booked or hard to find even when booking few months in advance. Not a lot of breakfast choices but that wasn't an issue for us."
