"I spent six nights in this guesthouse during a July 2025 photography tour with some friends. The apartment was clean, neat, quiet, and well suited for one or two people (I was solo.) Sitting about 8 miles west of Vik there was a great view of the ocean whcih was several miles away. The owners stopped by a few times to see if I needed anything--I didn't but appreciated their attention. The kitchenette was fine for me but I would recommend the owners put in a microwave to warm up prepared foods from the nearby grocery store. There is a two-burner stove top, which I didn't use, an electric kettle, a toaster, and a coffee maker and of course a small refrigerator. There is a dishwasher but I didn't use it. The bathroom has a heated floor which was quite nice on cool mornings. Overall, I give it 4/4 stars and if I'm in the Vik area again, I would definitely stay here."

"The views from this guesthouse were beautiful. It’s perched on top of a hill and you’re able to look out onto the water and black sand beach. Loved how rustic the reception and bar was. The lounge area was so cool, filled with vintage furniture and needlepoints. Highly recommend staying here and talking to people from all around the world in the lounge or breakfast area. "

"The staff was wonderful, friendly, and very accommodating. Great location and a close drive to major attractions. The hotel vibe is relaxing with a beautiful view. We were thrilled to find the ticket to ride game in the lounge area! The breakfast was delicious. Great stay for kids to run around outside. "

"Cottages look new, clean and cozy. My friend and I loved it. The location is quiet. It's on a huge property facing the mountains. It was pleasant to sit on the porch in the evening drinking wine and morning drinking tea overlooking the beautiful landscape. The cottage has a stove, sink, and refrigerator with kitchen tools needed to cook. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. You can park right beside your assigned cottage. The grocery store and other shops are 10 minutes away in Vik city center. "

"The hotel was nicely isolated and quiet, and convenient to Reynisfjara Beach, while not being far from Vik and nearby attractions. Pillows were great! Thanks for supplying Kleenex (which we never did find at a store). Shower had great water pressure. Breakfast buffet was wonderful!"
