"Excellent property, the room was quiet and very comfortable. There is a great range of food for breakfast. The hotel is ideally situated to walk around Tromso. There is only a short stay parking area to unload the cases. Cat parking is a 5 minute walk away."

"Fantastic stay at Hotel Thin Polar in Tromso. Conveniently located near good restaurants, museums and sites. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful with extra information about transit and directions around the hotel. The room is efficient, clean, bed comfy. Hotter water in the shower would have been exceptional but adequate as is. The breakfast buffet is amazing!! Full board of every kind of breakfast wanted, both Norwegian and other cultural fare, including a very good array of gluten free food. I highly recommend Hotel Thon Polar. "

While our conducted tour to the fjords was cancelled due to bad weather, it gave us the opportunity to enjoy the Paris of the north i.e., Tromso. Due to its central location we were able to walk to the Polaris Museum, the Radhus (Town Hall), the City Library, the Cathedral, and eat at some nice restaurants including the one in the hotel itself.
