This hotel is a hidden gem in the middle of Ubud. Spacious rooms, great air con, fabulous breakfast, beautiful pool, friendly and accommodating staff. I would only stay here.

We would highly recommned Gayatri for a number of reasons: 1. Location is very convinient - walk to all the shops, restaurants & Spas. 2. Staff attitude and their service is excellent, We had a minor issue with our aircon and they were so good in addressing our concern. 3. Their breakfast was simply amazing. And their staff served it with genuine love and affection. Hard to find it these days. We had a choice of having it in our balcony or by the poolside. 4. Rooms are big and toilets are clean.Entire place has a traditional vibe. Building is a bit dated and can do with some repair work.Staircase can be a very slippery when wet and steps are not equal so watch it when using them.There is no lift, so check your floor before booking, if you arent comfortsble using stairs. Overall, we were very happy with our accomodation and we would definetly go back again. Best Value accomodation we have come across.

The resort Gayatri was amazing he was beyond the expectations when it came to the life it gave us the experiences of being a countryside peaceful but with amazing service at the same time. The food is vegetarian at the same time was very tasty. The stuff or beyond amazing as well very helpful always there for you. Specifically would want to call out Sambut who was the tour guide and driver, very knowledgeable and kind-hearted individual really took good care of us. Other staff members were amazing as well

We were looking for Balinese style property within city center and has vegan, vegetarian options and we were so lucky to find such a true gem of villas which is conscious of environment, culture, food and service. Though the Air condition was not sufficient, they have taken care in all other aspects and also given complimentary snacks to compensate. Great, Gayatri name is kept to represent Gayatri mantra which Balinese follow regularly. The surrounding environment has great for bird watching and nice quiet atmosphere like a true Balinese house ..

We loved this place!
We loved this hotel. Wish we had more than two days here in our rooftop room with outdoor shower. The staff was beyond helpful with airport transfer, laundry and the wonderful breakfast we had on our balcony. Very memorable. (No TV in our room, but for us that was perfect.)

Beautiful authentic Bali experience. Great location for walking around shopping and dining yet tucked away a bit for quiet. The staff were lovely. Kind helpful and friendly. I would stay here again.

Magical serenity
The photos of Gayatri fail to capture how absolutely magical this place is. From the friendly, responsive staff to the serene pool, to the delicious, fresh, local food, this place is incredible! My room was unique, private, clean, and comfortable. The location is perfect to easily see all of Ubud.

The Gayatri was excellent Resort to stay at, the beds were very comfortable & very clean. We all enjoyed the breakfast even beginning vegan food. We couldn’t fault Gayatri and would highly recommend the Gayatri.

Hotel is fantastic ,if you have to go to Ubud
The Hotel was serene, quiet, gorgeous, comfortable. The staff was incredible, and the food was super delicious and plentiful ! Pool nice too, However ,Ubud as a city has some Major problems. I dont recommend anyone go to UBUD until the city fixes major issues. There are no sidewalks, constant fast motorbikes and traffic- noisy and scary to walk or cross the road. and all the nice walks mostly gone.

If you are staying in Ubud, we would highly recommend Gayatri. The staff were attentive and the breakfast was by far the best we had in Bali! Furthermore, the hotel offers a peacefulness and tranquility that you would expect from an oasis, whilst still walking distance from many restaurants, temples, bars, shops and, most importantly, the monkey forest. We also visited the local village of Mas which is well known for its wood carving and mask making, a great day out to see the artisans at work!

We have just left the beautiful Gayatri after a five night stay, our second visit to this lovely family owned traditional hotel which is situated down a quiet lane from Monkey Forest Rd. Thankfully It is back to its pre pandemic self ! The staff are gorgeous, as are the breakfasts, beds so comfortable and the linen is quality…and the price is very reasonable for the quality. We will be back.

Hotel is close to many fine restaurants and bars. Offering wide array of delicious breakfast choices. Large rooms with huge balcony overlooking the pool and forested areas. Room had 2 king sized beds, unlimited filtered water, large fridge etc. Highly recommended. Will come back

Really pretty small property in the heart of Ubud located away from the noise and busy streets. Nice decor, good pool and well maintained. The stairwells have taken a bit of a beating from luggage being moved up and down and could use new paint. Breakfast is vegan - would have preferred more options.

Love it A LOT!
My boyfriend and I spent four nights here and the location was very convenient for us. Located near the Ubud Palace / Market and the Monkey Forest, you could find a lot of food options, yoga studios and great shops by walking just 5-10 mins. As it is not located directly on the main road, it is quiet and could give you some privacy and ambiance for sleeping at night. The welcome drink (i.e. Kombucha) was super nice and fresh. The breakfast was HEAVEN and you could choose two main dishes, one hot and one cold drink for a single person. You could choose to have your dining around the pool area or your room. The staff was very friendly and polite and served the guests with great smiles. It is totally worth the price for staying here for four nights if you want to enjoy the aesthetic side of Ubud!

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Ubud. Lovely staff and owner. You can feel their passion for the place. Back from the main street, the atmosphere is very peaceful. Would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed our stay here. All rooms feature classic Balinese design including elaborately carved entries. Most have generous terraces. We loved having breakfast delivered to our private terrace each day. The pool is quite nice. For some reason they didn't make up our room about half the days of our stay, and one day we specifically asked to have it done after 3 days without. I don't think it's a policy, just think they weren't very diligent about making sure it gets done. The food was very good, but FYI the menu seems to be entirely vegan. Don't recall any mention of this when we booked. No bacon & eggs for bkfst.

Great rooms, great staff, with delicious vegan breakfast. The breakfast, location and the business model to reduce harm are the best reasons to stay here. Easy access to everything. We had room 19 which was beautifully renovated, private in the back, and was a quadruple room. It has 2 kind beds, connected but seperated by half a wall, 2 balconies, a bath tub, and a shower. Absolutely beautiful. AC was great and super cold. The only concern is there are lots of bugs but that's everywhere in Bali. There are holes so everyday, we pretty much came home to 10 big ants or bugs crawling around. The bathroom is gorgeous, but they are open air and one time a water lizard came in and scared the hibbijibbis out of us. Nothing will bite you though. The pool is great to swim. We will definitely come back, just don't exactly recommend it for a honeymoon to a couple who can't stand bugs.

Great place for the price!
This was the first stop for my wife and I on our honeymoon. I'd definitely recommend it, especially for the price. It was in a good, central location with tons of places to walk to between food, shops, cafes, bars, etc. Pretty close walk to the Ubud Monkey Forest, although we went to the one in Sangeh, which I'd recommend because the monkeys are nicer there and don't steal. Rooms are mostly just a bed and bathroom with a couple of drawers, so not too spacious if you want to sit inside, but there's a nice balcony for all rooms. Pool was nice - not too big but about 15 chairs and a decent sized pool. Food was good and very affordable. Staff was very quick and easy to communicate with. For the price, it's hard to beat there! The only downsides were that the shower was pretty bad. The bathroom itself is outside and beautiful, but the water pressure was horrible and came out extremely hot with no change in temperature wherever you set it. There were also ants in the room and the air conditioner was dripping a bit of water. However, my guess is that they'll fix the water heater and air conditioner, so the ants were the only thing but they weren't that big of a deal. Would definitely recommend!

We loved our stay at Gayatri. The location was great, the breakfast outstanding, and the staff very nice and helpful. It wasn’t spotless, but we didn’t care. We were on the top floor and the roof leaked during a rainstorm and our clothes got wet, but that small thing was the only downside. The pool was lovely and it was great being able to WhatsApp for food. Overall we were thrilled, great value.

The staff were wonderful especially Komang who was extremely kind, helpful & offered some wonderful suggestions for our time in Ubud. We loved staying at Gayatri. The only negative was the state of the bathroom in our room which needs a deep clean around the bath/shower area & generally a renovation as soon as possible.

I spent a couple nights here last week in Ubud. This was the 3rd place I stayed at over 5 nights. It was my favorite and the price was good. I had a double bed, room 4. AC worked. The shower pressure was great and it was clean. They provide free breakfast, but you need to order it from a menu. Options are ok but they don’t have any eggs on the menu! The property and pool was beautiful. The location was central and easy to walk around. I would stay here again.

Amazing beautifully appointed spacious, locally owned hotel in traditional style. Amazing pool. I was in a very private, serene upper storey location (recommended), with huge balcony. Good air conditioning. Perfect space for reflection and meditation. It is in the best location, right near the shopping, but set apart down a very safe side street that allowed respite from the noisy bars and shops on Monkey Forest St. Beautiful garden, statues and artwork. The staff were very quick to help when i made any request. Nothing was too difficult. Very comfortable beds. The breakfast was huge, with two full sized meals instead of one, and a great selection e.g. pancakes, fried rice, juice and coffee all included. Loved this place and would definitely stay again. I also met lovely people staying here. As a solo traveller it's nice to meet good people with similar outlook and attitude.
