The highlight is definitely the kindness and generosity of the staff; they made everything to fullfill my needs and make me happy. Jati cottage is tranquil and cosy, close to Ubud centre and to yoga Barn. I enjoyed being there for two weeks, i would surely stay there again.

Loved staying at Jati Cottages over the holidays. Staff was very friendly, pool was wonderful, and the breakfast was tasty. The only concern I had at all was that they charge 3% for credit card payments, which was upsetting, because I haven't encountered that in Indonesia at all in two weeks.

Perfect place to stay in ubud! Is a short walk to ubud town centre and there are plenty of warungs and cafes near the hotel too. There is a good massage parlour next door too. I would stay here again!

The staff were literally amazing and couldn’t help you more. The location is in the heart of Ubud. Rooms are so luxurious with a pool view. Pool area is also gorgeous. Great breakfast options too. :)

Peaceful oasis in Ubud centre
Absolutely wonderful stay at Jati Cottages. This was my first visit to Bali and I was visiting solo. Jati Cottages made me feel so welcome. Little touches such as the bedtime story each night, mosquito repellant and water bottles in the room were fantastic. The room was very comfortable, I loved the large balcony and the shower was incredible! Breakfast is well worth including in your booking as there was plenty to choose from and it was really tasty. The pool is wonderful and the whole place has a feeling of a peaceful jungle but it's just moments from the city. WiFi is also great, which isn't always the case in Ubud. It is at most 30 minutes to get to some of the main temples and places like the Yoga Barn are closer, just a few minutes away. My only small complaint is the cost of taxis and tours are more expensive than in town and the added premium didn't encourage me to book direct, even though I would have preferred to. Other than that, I would definitely return to Jati Cottages when I come back to Ubud.

Superb place, great location
Beautiful property that captures the essence of Ubud, quiet for the amazing central location and totally worth the money. Lovely pool, decent breakfast and wonderfully polite staff - they stayed up very late because our flight was delayed and made sure we were comfortable! The rooms aren’t exactly sound proof though so need to keep that in mind when booking!

Couldn’t have asked for any better for the price. Staff couldn’t do enough for you! Room was clean comfortable and very big. Sun beds were comfortable and provided towels. Bathroom was large and the shower very powerful and could get very hot. Would 100% recommend and stay again.

Amazing place. In a slightly quieter area about 15 min walk to the hustle and bustle. Pondok Bali Spa directly left of Jati Cottage gives the best massage value for money and Jati healthy breakfast was delicious I had it every morning. I will definitely be back. The staff were so friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jati cottage. The staff were lovely and the room was pretty decent. The pool was super and great to relax by after a day of siteseeing. The room itself was clean and catered for all our needs. Shower pressure was weak and temperature a bit temperamental but ultimately didn’t bother us that much. Location is fantastic as it is close to the centre of Ubud but far enough away for some peace. You can rent a scooter from reception which we did for 2 days to do site seeing and for ease. Much easier and safer to drive scooter in Ubud compared to places such as Kuta and Seminyak. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would return in the future. I am very fussy about where I stay so that means a lot coming from me!

Pool is great and breakfast was good. Unfortunately I got stuck in the room facing the street so it was lacking the ambiance you see online. The hotel and room were clean and the bed was comfy but the walls definitely could use a fresh coat of paint as some mold was visible (albeit typical in this climate). The rooms along the pool seemed much better so try to get one of those if possible. It looks like some nights it is priced in the $50-70 range and that price is fair given its slightly far location. I paid $116 though and it definitely wasn’t worth it, especially given I stayed at Barong Resort and Spa the night before for less money and got a private pool and my own Balinese daybed on my private patio.

Amazing value for money. A really nice hotel with very friendly and helpful stafff. We had to walk a little bit (not too much) to get to town, but we preferred that than been in the middle of the clogged area. No Restaurant other than for breakfast but just on the side there is a hip and delicious restaurant so no need to have one at the hotel. Very nice pool and green areas. There was only a minor topic with the shower wall which was not perfectly clean and you could see some molds.

Hidden gem in Ubud
A great value small hotel in convenient location in Ubud. Rooms are spacious and modern. Gardens and pool area well maintained and very bali! Staff very courteous. Walk to yoga barn and restaurants. Breakfast Ok. Only lacks taxi avalability. Family friendly.

Small, convenient hotel in Ubud
There are many steps to climb before reaching the room. Rather surprise that they still use keys for room access instead of cards. The coffee table in the family room is too small. No changing room at the poolside. The staff are helpful, speak quite good english and service is good. Pretty good location as it is near to the Ubud Market which maybe difficult to hail a taxi as they find the trip is too short for them.

Just loved Jati Cottage - what a stunning place in the middle of Ubud. Service was really high level - we just loved having coffee and breakfast delivered to our room every morning. And they were sooo prompt!! Really really happy with our choice to stay here :)

Very Good Professionally Run Hotel
Very well run hotel just outside Ubud. In a nice area away from centre. Good facilities, nice pool, good sized room with undercover balcony with views over garden pool and greenery. Breakfast a little smaller than some in Bali but perfectly adequate. Very comfortable bed, good enclosed bathroom with shower, good AC. All in all a very comfortable option. A pleasant place to stay. Good Chinese/ Local noodle restaurant next door “Hongalia”. Also the laundry next door was very competent and quick.

Over-rated hotel.
Pros: 1. Jati cottages is in between yoga barn (5 min walk via shortcut) and radiantly Alive (10-15 min walk) 2. Decently sized Swimming pool 3. Breakfast options were not bad - go for Jati pandan pancakes and Jati healthy 4. Room was cleaned twice a day , but it does not mean that it will be very clean — see below. Cons: 1. Staff does not seem well trained in customer service. For instance , I was enquiring on how to get to a certain location and I had to look at my phone for the exact details, before I could get back to staff on exact address. As there was someone behind me , staff asked me to step to one side just so that he can attend to him . But I was not even done with my enquiry yet. 2. Staff doesnt seem to want to pick up dead houseflies or broken hangers from the floor during evening cleaning. FYI , the hangers that were provided were not able to withstand a pair of light yoga pants and top. 2 hangers broke during my 5 day visit there. 3. On my last day of stay at Jati cottages , I specifically asked front desk to arrange for someone to come get my one piece heavy luggage twice as they put me on the 3rd floor and there was no lift. I waited for them at that specified time , no one in sight came and I lugged it down myself 3 flights of stairs. In conclusion , I rather get a b&b along Jalan suweta or jembawan area which is half the price, at least I will not expect too much from them.

Very nice hotel!
This was my first hotel in Bali and it was a very nice experience. Staff is very nice and helpful. Amenities are good. Need to walk a little to get to the centre of Ubud. Breakfast was very good but small (à la carte).

This is a great hotel just of the main center of ubud - so a quiet oasis!!! The rooms are good with good swimming pool and excellent breakfast. You can easily walk into the countryside and rice fields - I did mountain bike tour which was great way to see the countryside

10 minute walk to central ubud and monkey forest. Friendly and helpful staff. Always there to help with anything you need. Looked after our bags on the last day and organised late transfer to the airport for us. Wonderful pool with lots of loungers and bean bags. Clean and tidy throughout. Large choice of complimentary breakfast option. Cheap spa for $6 AUD massages and manicures/pedicures (not the best quality but good for what you pay) and laundry both next door. Would stay more nights next time if we could!

Very friendly people in a small paradise
We stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Staff Service - 4.5 Very friendly staff. Everyone smiles and greets you and they addressed all our needs immediately and effectively. The only thing that they had issues with was finding bike rental for us and booking transport for us from Ubud. We did it ourselves without much trouble, but would be nice if they could handle it. Otherwise, everything was very good. Location - 4.5 The location is pretty good. The hotel is a bit off the center but in close proximity. It's good that it is off center because it is more peaceful. However, pretty much everything was accessible with 10-15 minute walk. Grounds - 5 The hotel has plenty of greenery that is well maintained. Don't be surprised to see gekkos in the hallways and we saw a monkey on our first day. The pool in the middle is very well maintained. Room - 4 Simple rooms with basic things in the room. Balcony overlooking the pool area is great. I would recommend a room on 2nd or 3rd floor. Amenities - 4 More basic. They do have laundry on site, but we didn't know about it until later. Pool area is great. Breakfast is pretty good. Value - 4.5 I thought that the hotel was worth the money. Many options in Ubud, and we really enjoyed our stay in Jati Cottages.

Lovely, friendly well kept accommodation
We stayed for two nights at Jati Cottage. It has only been open five months but runs very smoothly and the accommodation is clean and modern. Good location for monkey forest and good value for money. The pool and seating areas are great.

Understated luxury
It's the great service from the hotel team here that makes it 5 star! The personal service from breakfast to the turn down of your room at night, makes it the perfect place to stay. The location is about a 5-10minute walk from the monkey forest.

This is a new hotel. The rooms are stunning. I can not fault this one at all, staff were just lovely. I was admiring the garden and one of the staff came over and we started chatting about the palnts (I'm a florist) he then introduced himself as the owner, he was very very proud of his garden and indeed the hotel ( with good reason). The staff all feel like they are also very proud to work there, it was such a nice feel. when you go out side the gate on the left as you go our the drive there is a little restaurant, lovely staff there too and cheap beautiful food, and 2 doors down in the same direction was a massage place owned by the same people that owned the restaurant, best massage with have had in bali, and the manager is so lovely. Highly recommended this hotel. will stay there again,

This place is just so beautiful. The grounds, the rooms, the pool...everything was lovely! The staff are amazing, they are always polite and go above and beyond to help you out. I would definitely return and recommend everyone to stay there!!

Fantastic new hotel in Ubud
Fantastic new hotel in a great central location in Ubud. The hotel is exactly as pictured, very new, beautifully designed and furnished. The location is very central and easy walking distance to many of the sites of Ubud. The staff were very helpful and able to recommend some good shopping and sight seeing locations and were able to quickly organise a motorbike for me. The pool area is beautiful and the water was sparkling clean. I would highly recommend this hotel, there was not one thing I would change or improve.

Amazing hotel near all attractions in Ubud. The staff was very friendly and always greeted us by name. The breakfast was amazing and a wide variety of choices. The pool area is really nice! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it if your planning to go to Ubud.
