Top University Botanic Gardens Hotel Reviews
George Street Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This place was amazing! After traveling through the whole countryside of England, Oxford was my last stop before home. So it was an amazing welcome to have AIRCONDITIONING that actually worked and was cold. Everything else was a plus. The hotel is central and close to everything. It’s off a main walk way, but dont let it fool you from its elegance. The staff was more than helpful. My room and bathroom were very clean and surprisingly spacious. I had a great stay and will definitely come back. 10/10 Recommend!!"
Vanbrugh House Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Fantastic location! The rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean, modern, and very comfortable. The complimentary bottled water and shortbread biscuits in the room were a lovely touch and much appreciated. It was very hot during our stay, but the two good fans provided made a big difference and helped us sleep comfortably. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We had a great experience and would definitely stay here again!"
Ethos Hotel – Oxford City
8/10 Good
"Stayed in a family room for 4 people. Room had an air conditioning unit which was great on a hot summer night. Room was clean but mattress was not very comfortable. Not a problem for couple of nights. Location was good. Walkable to town centre in 5-7 minutes. Limited parking available for extra cost. Breakfast was good."
The Randolph Hotel Oxford, a Graduate by Hilton
8/10 Good
"This is a big fancy hotel. We have stayed here before. It’s well-maintained and the staff seem friendly. But there are details that made this a less than excellent stay. Our room was literally blocks away from the front entrance - our GPS got confused when we were planning outtings— so if you’re not looking to get extra steps make sure to ask for a closer one when you check in. The bathroom was well appointed but the shower leaked and the sink was very slow to drain. There was an Nespresso machine in the room, but most of the coffee we were given was decaf. When we tried to order coffee to go downstairs they didn’t have any paper cups. So it was good - but not excellent."
Premier Inn Oxford City Centre - Westgate

"The staff were very helpful and professional."
The Buttery Hotel
8/10 Good
"The hotel frontage is extremely small. Blink and you will miss it. Lots of narrow stairs to navigate. (No lift. Old book shop). Room was spacious. With TV and tea making facilities. Bathroom ok. But shower was a little temperamental. Location is very central to all attractions and railway station."

10/10 Excellent
"Regular annual visitors to this hotel so knew what to expect. Room was large and clean. Staff we came across were all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast room was very well stocked there was a really wide choice from the buffet. River walk of about 15 mins into the city. Very quiet at night on this occasion. Onsite car parking is £25 per day. Check in agent did not ask for payment and when i asked i was told it was included which surprised me as it never used to be. I went back later and challenged them on this again and surprise another check showed it wasn't so an apology was given and £50 was taken. Failure to pay would mean a £100 fine later on so beware of this. Couldn't get a stable picture on any tv channel which was a little frustrating but then we weren't there to watch tv."
