"Booked this hotel for one night to catch up with friends and see the athletics. Small but satisfactory room. Comfortable double bed. Quiet room that had everything needed for one night. Had to pay extra for breakfast, but generally ok value for money."

"I enjoy staying at this hotel. Its location is good. The setting is peaceful; so is the hotel itself. Before my stays (happened a number of times) the hotel can be difficult to contact via the hotels.com site. They tend not to reply. The hotel is generally clean, but this trip, my room was only thoroughly cleaned after 5 days. Not sure why. But the difference was noticeable. Generally, I enjoy staying here, but there are some relatively easy fixes that might make it much better."

"The staff were friendly and welcoming with knowledge of the local area, which was handy as I needed to get taxis to and from Catton Park during my stay! The foyer area is large and open which felt welcoming and relaxed and it was clean and tidy. My room itself was clean and tidy with a comfortable bed and big shower. I also had two meals during my stay which despite not being amazing were still nice and value for money. Overall, a pleasant stay."

"Staff were so friendly. Stayed two nights with my 14 year old son. £10 for a leisure pass to use gym, pool, sauna and steam room. Pool tables and darts were available, lovely pub attached to the hotel with live sports and entertainment. 10 minute drive to pubs and restaurants although seen people order food to the hotel. 20 minute drive to Trentham monkey forest which was great, also drove past an ice cream parlour"
