"The property was well maintained and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Easy walking distance to the public marina and local downtown. Rooms are comfortable and clean and adequate for two guests. The breakfast options were basic but enough variety was available."
"This is a character stay and did not disappoint. It was clean, quirky, and the location was fantastic. Our room was #10 and it was spacious for our needs. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner was efficient and quiet. The made to order breakfast was exceptional. We would stay again."
"The view was spectacular!
The bathrooms are small but nice with large rainfall showers that work very nicely.
The ‘Beekind’ toiletries are great, which included shower, wash, shampoo, conditioner, and moisturizer.
They have hairdryers too, but I didn’t try them.
The A/C works well, but is a bit noisy.
Surprisingly, there is no elevator. But there is only one upper level with one fairly long flight of stairs. This wasn’t a problem for us though.
As an interior designer though, I have to say that the architecture and interior design is very peculiar! Strange pieces of furniture that don’t really fit, and strange exterior cladding design!
However, the location is very convenient, just 5 mins walk to the port and many restaurants to choose from.
We enjoyed Coastal Cookery restaurant for brunch.
There is a small kitchenette which we did not use, which includes a 2-burner hob, a fridge and a microwave, but very few utensils and no toaster. There is a Keurig coffee maker with 4 complementary pods of coffee incl. one black tea pod.
Unfortunately, there was no kettle as it would have been nice to make a cup of herbal tea.
Parking was very convenient as they have several spots behind the building, and there’s also free street parking across the street.
All in all, a pleasant stay :)"
"I have stayed at this property several times over the years, and it has generally been quite satisfactory. Unfortunately the features and amenities have slowly disappeared, leaving it to be a pretty basic option. The restaurant is quite nice, with good service and good quality. However, it is not open for breakfast, nor are there any breakfast options available on the property.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. A filter coffee maker is provided with paper cups. The balcony and ocean view is very nice. On this visit, the elevator was not working, but this was not mentioned at check in. If this is the case, and accessibility is an issue, make sure you request a room on the third floor, which is actually the upper parking lot level.
The swimming pool has not been functional for at least a year or two. The staff advised that the plan was to build a new building/or wing, that will include a new pool, etc. No idea of timing on this, though."
"Great place to stay rooms are comfortable, clean, the staff are excellent
Side note, I had to make a change the Expedia call center is terrible and not very helpful. The call centre is very loud with people talking and laughing and very hard to understand. Didn’t even get a hold of me to let me know the change was done she left me on hold for 10 minutes after the staff let me know it was done so I hung up. It wasn’t even updated on my Expedia account and no call back."
