"A nice little wood framed hotel in Flam. Very pleasant with balconies. Really excellent breakfast and a fine bar/restaurant attached. The downside is that it is right next to the cruise boat dock, so be sure to request a mountain view, otherwise the "water" view on the other side of the building will be of the side of an enormous cruise boat, one after the other, all day, every day, at least in the summer. "This is a unique property! A bit 'out of the way' but is serene and with great views because of it. Still, it is not far at all from the centre of the small town. It is sort of a converted farm with some rooms in each of three buildings one of which has reception and the restaurant. At first approach one might think, oh my, what have I booked! Is this some old run down property? But then when you see what it really is one might think the opposite - that it is like some very high end lodge....
