"Rooms were small, shower had dirt in the bottom of it. The comforter was very rough. Was given a number to text if we needed anything during our stay the next morning we asked for more towels because we were only given three. It took over an hour for them to finally bring the towels. The continental breakfast was a bagel muffin box cereal and boiled eggs. Definitely not impressed with that. And it was often quite noisy. You could hear people of you running around all night doors opening and closing all hours of the night. "
"We were hoping to have a relaxing girls' weekend, but it wasn't in the cards at this hotel. The room was lovely. The beds were comfy. The balcony, that we paid extra to have, was dirty with pollen so we could not really use it. I am familiar with pollen this time of the year, but it should have been cleaned for guests to use. In addition to the pollen covered furniture, there were also cobwebs on the chairs. I was really disappointed, because the weather was perfect for it! It didn't even face "historic Darien" as the description said. It was just the parking lot.
The room was pretty warm and the a/c didn't seem to work. We ended up sleeping with the balcony door open since it was much cooler outside. That wasn't great because a wedding party was having a good time making noise outside till late in the night. In addition to that noise, our room was located by a housekeeping room and they kept letting the door shut loudly as they were in and out of it in the morning hours.
On day two, we had to request a remote for the TV since we didn't have one in the room. The young man at reception brought it up very fast.
On the plus side, the bathroom was spacious and the mirror was divine! The shower was huge with 2 showerheads, and the water warmed up super fast.
The staff we encountered were all really nice. The food in the restaurant was delicious, but we did not receive our $25 food credit that was listed on Hotels.com site. Would we stay there again? Probably not.

"The location was good 10 minutes drive to savannah historic center. The place needs an update, the carpet is old and looks dirty. The bed was confortable and clean. The breakdast was ok. The room smelled cigarrettes, and people smoke cigarrettes outside. The place has potation but needs some improvement. "

6/10 Okay
"The train is no joke, it SHOOK the room! I thought the glass partition in the room was going to break & hit me in bed when it came through. The breakfast food choices were nice. The breakfast attendant was more concern with placing extra food under the counter than the guest. She seriously asked me to move when I was in the middle of making a slice of toast, to place things in the cabinet below. I will say the previous nights check in was GREAT!!! The room was clean, but it so dark. There are ZERO head lights. "
"Miss Jessica was lovely. She’s working real hard to make her Southerlodge a great place for travelers. Our room was super clean. The water pressure was amazing. We had a nice long, hot showers. We felt super safe and it was a perfect respite before our long drive. Highly recommend if you’re doing a northeast to Florida trip if you could make it to Townsend Georgia. I wish her nothing but best of luck. "

2/10 Terrible
"Do not stay here! First day: broken fridge, AC, and toilet- had to pack the family up and move rooms after 10 pm. Often nobody was at front desk. Housekeeping left 3 towels for 5 people. Dirty carpet everywhere, reek smell, 2 small cockroaches in the room. Pool is not at all what it looks like in photos (small & crowded). Men's bathroom out of order. The positives were location, room large enough to have a separate bedroom (very cramped still), and good coffee. One front desk worker was very friendly. They were obviously understaffed and some desk just stared instead of helping. "
