"Overall, this is a great option for us. The negatives: Our room has mold on the wall, smells a bit like someone smoked in there and the floor boards were not all connected. The pool was beautiful but it had a tarp on so we couldn’t get in.
The positives: The room had a panoramic view of the mountains. They provided plenty of bottled water each day. The staff was warm and welcoming. They helped us planned our trip, got tickets, etc. They gave us rides to and from the middle gate (south east gate) of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park which was extremely convenient. They also provided a one way ride either from or to the hotel. They provided free laundry service. (We had a long trip and had loads of laundry.) Their breakfast was great and had a great variety of western and Asian choices. We noticed they specially made soup noodles for customers based on different dietary restrictions.
We would stay here again. The customer service was just top notched."
"Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. We both loved it. Beautiful room, beautiful scenery, great shower, huge bed. Views in an upper room with private balcony across the mountains. Staff are amazing, Rain was incredibly helpful. Our breakfast was included. Dinner is also available from menu choices at extra (very reasonable fee), good food in a lovely onsite restaurant overlooking the infinity swimming pool. Free car transfers back and forth to the west gate of Zhangjiajie National Park. Set up WeChat so you can text them and they come immediately to pick you up. This is for west gate park entrance only/free car. Other car services at a fee. Airport pick up was CNY200, it’s an hour away. Can’t recommend this place enough, much more fun than staying in a big westernised hotel. We stayed 4 nights. Absolutely fantastic experience!"
"What a fantastic experience. Starting with the beautiful customer service from the Staff. Nancy help us with some reservations. The location if perfect, close to the entrance to the Avatar Mountain, we walked from the entrance to the hotel and we enjoy that pretty much. If we are going back, for sure we will stay at this hotel."
"Horrible hotel. The staff insisted that I need to pay for the laundry before giving me back my clothes, just because I never deposit, despite I said I will pay upon check out as we are so tired after a full day of walking. But staff still wanted me to go all the down to the lobby to make payment first. Very inconsiderate and unhelpful staff. The breakfast spread is ok, but to me not enough choices. And 3 lifts, 2 were spoiled. Never stayed such a lousy 5 star hotel before."
"Clean and relatively new hotel rooms in a convenient and quiet area of Wulingyuan. I recommend including the hotel breakfast in your stay if you’re going on a tour since it’s convenient and has both western and Asian options. Hotel is within walking distance to restaurants and main tourist area."
"This was the best place I’ve stayed at in my entire trip to China and the spots I stayed at before this were all 4-5 star hotels. This place was just so cozy it had such a homey feel. The rooms were super clean, there was attention to detail like restocking water in the room everyday and the best thing was the staff. The girl at the front Jojo or 周燏嫣 was so helpful and kind. She was super knowledgeable about all the parks and went out of her way to help us map out the route for each park and even marked them on a physical map for us. Overall just such an amazing experience will definitely be coming back."
