We reserved the Hamilton because of its historic footprint in DC. As soon as we walked in for check-in, we were disappointed and underwhelmed. For a hotel of this cost and exclusive type advertising, it was a let down. The check-in desks are off to the side and the lobby is small with a few sofas and chairs. They advertise and charge the Resort label, but all it has is a small fitness center. We stayed in an Executive King and the room further disappointed. Two small drawers per person and a standing closet is all the two of us had to store the clothes we brought for 5 days worth of festivities. The lighting and the switches were confusing. The A/C was extremely loud, the intake vent set up was gawdy and old. The phone took up a single stand with cables/wires running along the wall to the corner. The room was tight and very poorly laid out. The bathroom was terrible as well. No drawers, only one shelf under the sink for storage and it was taken up by the towels, tissue, extra TP and hair dryer. The sink top had very little surface area. A sink with a cabinet would have been more useful. The TP holder was falling off the wall and you had to take the TP off the holder when using it or it would fall to the floor or in the trash. The shower door was broken, did not shut all the way. The opening to the door faced the shower head; the floor was soaked every time we showered. The overall Hamilton experience was unsatisfactory. You can get way better for way less $$. Not Recommended!
