Stayed for one night at the end of a short trip to Namibia. A great experience. Lovely cabin, attentive managers and staff, super food and best of all, an unexpected surprise at breakfast! Can’t recommend the place highly enough. Ten out of ten.

This was a delight to stay at. A real live Giraffe that comes to breakfast and the the most amazing hosts. Food was so delicious and the Chef made custom meals that you rarely get anywhere now a days. We didn't want to leave! Thank you so much for the memories.

Wonderful stay!
My wife and I happened to find this game camp just north of windhoek and are so happy we did. It stood out to us for its beautiful views, local game (giraffe, oryx, and others), comfortable and clean and luxurious permanent "tents", well-equipped kitchen, delicious breakfast, pool, and friendly and helpful staff (especially Sandra). They're in the process of adding more rooms as well as a restaurant, as of October 2023, which will make it even better. We loved it and would absolutely stay again and recommend it to others. 10/10!

The hosts and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. They cook the best bacons and eggs. The breakfast is good and tasty. Even got the chance to enjoy the breakfast and swim with giraffes. The room is clean and comfy. It was good that warming mattress is provided for the cold night. The kitchen is fully equipped. The hotel is just 20 minutes drive from Windhoek city centre. It is a perfect getaway for relaxing after the long flights and long transits. Definitely recommend!

The family atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed, and the hosts were friendly and kind. We really did have giraffes visiting us for breakfast, they made sure of it, along with a lovely oryx.

lovely location and nice to wander round. Liked the giraffes. Be aware you need to phone to gain first time access then you get a gate remote and bring food, beer milk etc. Well equipped kitchen and lovely tents. Great sundowner location and good breakfast.

We stayed at windhoek game camp the night we arrived in Namibia. We were pleasantly surprised by how lovely it was. We were immediately greeted by their golden retriever who showed us to our room. The luxury tent was clean, well decorated and secluded. I loved that they thought of little touches like providing robes and electric blankets for when it is chilly. Bear in mind it is self service, but I would definitely recommend picking up some things to braii and enjoying the lovely view. Definitely recommend.

great stay
Very friendly and welcoming, had a relaxing time and thanks for the complimentary champagne. Room was lovely and the environment great but scale of farm and no restaurant means it mostly would suit short term stays of one or two nights. Some signage at the turnoff would also have been helpful as it could be tricky to locate if you don't have gps

Windhoek Game Camp - The Best place to stay
What a pleasure to stay at this facility! It was our last overnight stay before flying back to SA. Wish we could stay longer. The previous night we stayed in Spitzkoppe Tented Camp for a much higher prize. This was the worst experience ever. Keep up the good work Windhoek Game Camp!! Know where to stay in future. Peaceful and comfortable
We enjoyed our stay here. Very close to Windhoek, make sure you follow the instructions on their site for getting to the place. The chalet are like a luxury camping (glamping). The best time we found for animal viewing is early in the morning.

True definition of S.E.R.E.N.I.T.Y
Where do I begin? Exactly what we were looking for. Peace and quiet place to relax and fully appreciate the landscape and the wildlife. Nothing better than waking up to giraffes in front of your balcony. Carla (owner) was incredibly friendly, accessible and accommodating. And her golden retriever who was more of our personal security guard who never left our tent the first night and came by regularly to check on us and get a treat of course. The tent itself was well kept and the grounds were manicured in the areas such as the pool/reception, entrance and in front of the tents. Cooking al fresco was great with the fully stocked kitchenette. No TV made it even better. We didn't miss a TV at all. Would stay again and highly recommend it. Thanks Carla!

Great stay just out of the city
If you need to get to the airport early in the morning, it may be tricky (but we did it). However, the best thing about this is that it is just out of town with lots of space around. It is self catering, but the facilities are great for that and honestly being outside is the reason for being in Namibia.

Negativ: Das Game Camp ist zur Zeit im Wiederaufbau, leider viel Baulärm im Campbereich, der Pool und die Frühstücklobby sind weit weg. Wenige Tiere. Nichts drum herum. Keine Einkaufsmöglichkeit. Aber das wird bestimmt noch... WIFI nur an der Lobby. Positiv: Die Hausgiraffen sind toll, wir konnten sie füttern. Wir wurden abends durch beide verabschiedet und morgens geweckt. (Die laufen im Camp herum) Das Managerehepaar ist super freundlich und stets hilfsbereit.

The small lodge is situated in the northern parts of Windhoek outskirts and even thought it is very close to Windhoek it feels very rural and wild. It is the perfect place to either start or end a trip around the fantastic country of Namibia since it is very conveniently situated close to the airport and with very easy access to the B1 road. The lodge is very safe and is situated in a private game conservancy. The grounds are huge and excellent for walks. Roaming freely are several kinds of deer such as oryxes and two giraffes and the landscape is gorgeous and very relaxing. I was fortunate to stay in room 4 which was recently renovated and the room was fantastic, so beautiful and with all conveniences one could ask for. The room is a luxury tent and the experience of sleeping in the middle of nature was extraordinary and very relaxing. The room was immaculately clean and very beautiful. The managers Peter and Bridget are very ambitious and have great plans to further improve the lodge which is very promising, even though I find it difficult to further improve this already perfect lodge. Breakfast was served by the pool and was of excellent quality; beautifully presented and very tasty. They cook breakfast to order and I enjoyed one of the best omelettes I have ever had! Many thanks to the lovely hosts Peter and Bridget and their fantastic staff who were incredibly friendly and totally focused on making my stay memorable. Hope to see you all soon!

Ruhe, Ruhe, Ruhe und den Komfort eines Luxus Camps
Die Eigentümerfamilie kümmert sich wie die eigene Familie um einen. Es ist ein kleines Paradies. Nachts im Haus, das hier aber Zelt heißt weil die Wände aus Zeltstoff sind, hört man kein Auto. Nur die Tiere. Die Tochter des Eigentümers Karla war sofort zur Stelle, um mich mit Auto nachts aus dem Flussbett zu ziehen, als eine der beiden Flussübergänge mehr als normal verschlammt waren. Karla ist äußerst taff und serviert morgens mit Liebe das Frühstück. Eier nach persönlichem Wunsch werden in jeder Variante im offenen Hausterrassenbereich mit viel Liebe serviert. Die Giraffen finden sich zum Frühstück ebenso ein. Wer einen ruhigen, naturnahen Aufenthalt haben will, ist hier richtig. Oryxe, Giraffen, viele kleine Tiere und einem sehr energischen Hahn in weiter Ferne, das alles gibt es hier. Namibische Gastfreundlichkeit, Herzlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft haben hier ihr Zuhause gefunden. Lokale Simkarte funktioniert auch im ganzen Tal, in dem das Camp liegt. Dusche und WC funktionieren, warmes Wasser und Sauberkeit: excellent. Sogar 2 Bademäntel gibt es. Auf der eigenen Terrasse (pro Zelthaus) sind: 1 grosser funktionierender Kühlschrank, 1 Herd mit 4 Platten, Kochgeschirre, Tisch und Stühle. Wunderbar. Wenn man dann mit Blick in die Abendsonne den Rotwein geniest, kommt auch schon mal die Giraffe persönlich vorbei und wünscht einen guten Abend. So soll es sein. Unvergesslich.

Frühstück mi Giraffen
Alles war vorbereitet. Das Zelt war sehr komfortabel und Insekten kommen durch die engen Gitter nicht durch. Die Aussicht von der Zeltterrasse auf die Berge und den Sonnenuntergang ist phänomenal. Wir haben ausgezeichnet geschlafen, da das Zelt auch im März bei Nacht schnell abkühlt und die Betten super sind. Die Küche ist mit 4 Platten, Kühlschrank und Mikrowelle ausgestattet. Es gibt Töpfe, Pfanne, Geschirr und sogar Schäler. Der Grill ist top und Feuerholz gibt es f. ca. 40 N$. Der Pool ist sehr sauber, und reicht für ein paar Schwimmzüge und zur Erfrischung. Das Beste zum Schluss: Zum Frühstück kommen Giraffen zu Besuch, doe man aus kurzer Entfernung bewundern kann. Das Frühstück ist prima und alle sind tierfreundlich. Der Abschied fiel uns schwer. Wir hatten drei sehr schöne und entspannte Tage, vielen Dank!

Very nice tent camp with giraffes, impalas, etc. The tents are luxuriously furnished and very comfortable. Ideal if you're looking to stay around Windhoek but want to avoid staying in the city itself. The owners are very friendly.

Excellent place, there are some giraffes and oryx inside this property. Staff super nice. Swimming pool water temperature too cols for us. Quite and relaxed place, a great option neat Windhoek.

Super self-cathering lodge mit 10 Luxus Zelten. Der Brai ( Grill) draussen ist einfach fantastisch. Der innerer Teil des Zelts, ist sehr schön und gepfegt ausgestattet. Die Giraffen die herumlaufen sind mega sympatisch.

Camping de luxe mais pas de girafe !
Nous avions réservé ce logement expressément parce qu'il était indiqué que nous y trouverions des girafes car nous voyagions avec un enfant qui aurait beaucoup apprécié. Or c'est un self catering de luxe mais de girafe, point. Par ailleurs le portail sans interphone ce n'est pas très pratique quand on est en road trip car nous n'avions pas de possibilité de passer des coups de fil or il fallait appeler au téléphone pour se faire ouvrir le portail. Petit défaut de fléchage également qui nous a amenés vers un abattoir avant d'arriver au camp, ce qui, honnêtement est moins glamour... En dehors de ces points, clairement les tentes sont très très belles, le mobilier est choisi avec goût, de qualité et le soin du détail est poussé à l'extrême avec des draps chauffants pas inutiles par les froides nuits de Namibie ! Le paysage est très beau et on est au calme, le coin cuisine est joli et confortable et le barbecue parfaitement situé et aménagé. Donc pour le calme et la belle tente de luxe, bravo.

Proximité de Windoek mais dans le bush quand même
Nous avions choisi ce camp pour être proches de Windoek sans être en ville afin d'aller à l'aéroport le lendemain matin. Pour ça, c'était parfait, dix minutes par autoroute pour Windoek, après il faut quand même traverser la ville mais ce n'est pas grand. Le camp est très sympathique et le propriétaire aussi. On peut faire une belle balade dans le domaine et croiser des girafes pas très farouches. C'est moins isolé que ce dont nous avions l'habitude en Namibie. On voit des maisons et Brakwater n'est pas une ville mais une zone industrielle. Néanmoins la vue depuis la tente est parfaite. Cela n'a d'ailleurs de tente que le nom. C'est très confortable et joliment décoré. La seule chose que nous n'avions pas anticipée c'est le fait qu'il n'y a ni restaurant ni bar au camp. Il faut amener ses provisions et nous avons été obligés d'aller à Windoek pour ça. C'est tout près, ce n'est ce n'est pas grave mais nous étions passés à Okahandja avant et cela aurait été plus simple d'acheter là-bas. C'est une info que j'aurais aimé avoir avant. Néanmoins le restau existe et peut-être fonctionne-t'il à certaines périodes.

Belle endroit, joliment décoré, mais malheureusement pas très propre, des cheveux dans la douche des taches dans le lit et sur le coussin qui sentait bizarre... De plus personne à notre arrivé un restaurant qui était fermé... Pas terrible malgré la sympathie de la gérante.
