"Easy check in. Staff were very helpful. I had made a mistake with my booking but it wasn’t an issue and staff sorted it on the spot. Room was comfy and clean. It was quiet and private. Breakfast was lovely. The house is beautiful and has a lovely little garden. Parking on site is convenient and lots of space. "

"I stayed for 1 night. I have used many B & B's, so was a little apprehensive. However, all that apprehension was a waste of energy. The B & B was lovely and the staff very nice. I did not score 5 on all points due to a couple of very minor issues. I had a double room no. 24 on the third floor. Please note no lift - So if you have climbed Helvellyn you may not want to take the extra steps up. Room and bathroom were cleaned to a high standard. "Great location and friendly staff"

"Brathay Lodge makes for a very comfortable and convenient stay in the Lake District. The room was modern and well-maintained and the staff friendly and considerate. There is a parking fee (unless booked direct) but you’d have to pay elsewhere anyway. If you have an electric car it’s a good idea to let them know in advance so you can use their reasonably-priced ProjectEV charger. The continental breakfast was fresh and varied and set us up for the day. Would definitely stay there again. "

"We have been twice now to this hotel and really enjoy staying , they love dogs which is a big bounce...... we will be returning again in the future , great location only 5-10min walk in to town with great views and the host are so great nothing to much trouble for them . they do a great breakfast "

"The room was warm, clean and cosy, comfy bed, bath towels a bit small, had a room with mountain view of Dow Crag & Coniston all be it a little restricted, the food was very good in the evening & the breakfast had a great choice and very tasty, staff were very friendly and helpful, it was a very peacful place to stay quiet at night no noise from other rooms will defo stay again it has been one of our better choices"

"Loved our stay. Our first family trip away with our 10 week old baby and even she loved it. We had everything we needed at our finger tips. The only slight downfall was the Wi-Fi connection. It was quite hard to connect to and very slow. Being in an area with poor reception for data, the Wi-Fi was definitely needed but we both struggled to get any use out of it. Amazing place though, would recommend. "

"Lovely caravan which was very clean and dog friendly. Well stocked including bowls for doggy. Communication from the owners was excellent. They even sent us a list of dog friendly walks some with dog friendly pubs. Lovely dog friendly pub Mason Arms just across the road from the camp where they let doggy sit under the table whilst owners had a meal. It was a small caravan site which was quiet and well laid out just what we needed."
