"Lovely hotel, perfect location - short walk along tow path to city centre. Large room and lovely bathroom. Excellent breakfast with particularly friendly staff - only one minor point is that none of the salt and pepper grinders we tried actually grind - possibly a known issue as there were sachets also available. Also witnessed that this hotel is very welcoming for dogs and has lots of things for young children to play with in the reception area."

"Very nice property with nice decor. The only negative was a bit of a sewage like smell in the downstairs hallway but this seemed to be the case in quite a few areas of York. The actual property was very clean."
