Wondering Stay in Zadar
My stay was such a blessing. Traveling solo, safety and navigating your way around is always a concern. I reached out to the apartment hotel prior to my arrival and my host Christine took care of me as if I was a family member. She answered all my questions and gave me options of things to do. My flight came in real late, she arranged for a taxi (Jadera) to pick me up, the driver had my name typed on a tablet so I could identify him quickly, very professional. Christine placed my key in a location where I can get to my room and relax. The apartment was clean and very welcoming, loved the balcony seaview. There is a supermarket across the street from the apartment to buy food and drinks. There is a peeble beach 5 minute walk away from the apartment and very peaceful. A restaurant is across the street from the beach. Her brother Mark drove me to the airport to return home, such a nice family. My overall stay and trip was amazing, it was 3 full days where I got to go down to Old Town, tour Plitvice Lake National Park (so worth the views), and a relaxing beach day. I highly recommend this apartment hotel and looking forward to my next visit.

Only accepts cash but you know it at the last min
Location was adequate, parking was spacious but the place was not fully booked. Room on the small side with a medium size balcony. Overall it was good value. Where they felt short was the service and responsiveness of the administration (owner). So it was never mentionned but after the stay was marked as "in" that they would only accept euros. Had I knew I would have planned more euros from back home at a decent rate. In the end it just seems like a strategy by the owner to avoid third party cost at the expense of the client who generally expect to be able to pay with a credit card nowadays. This is a lack of transparency in my opinion.

Good beach vibe
Very nice building in a very beach community. It was being managed for the owner by a young couple. Lucas was doing his best but needs a little direction in how to host. I was given apt 5 upstairs on the top floor. Great big balcony overlooking the water. Dining area. Small kitchen with small refrigerator. Rather small bedroom. Average size bathroom. Unfortunately the shower drain was not functional so the whole floor floods with each use. It is a shame because the area and building is very nice. Just needs some attention to details.

We were SO glad we booked this accommodation! It was clean, had small kitchenette, and a lovely balcony. We could even see the ocean from our balcony! We loved how close it was to a grocery store. It is a great location if your have a car for the short drive to downtown. The only small drawback was the limited internet which would cut out sometimes while we were making arrangements for our next stops (trains, accommodations, etc.) as well as zero upload speed for organizing our pictures from the day. Overall, great stay!

Wish we could have stayed longer
Was one of the most pleasant and comprehensive check-ins we have ever had - thank you Ileana for the welcome and top-notch visit hints! Our only regret is that we could not stay longer. The room was perfect with a great view of the water.

Property owner is a lovely person who goes out of her way to ensure everything is to your satisfaction. The apartment is a little way out of town but again the owner gives you good instructions on bus and taxi services. The property is kept very clean and has air conditioning which is a good bonus. A very good option at the price for the budget conscious traveller.

Clean, beautiful balcony view, great host who gave us a friendly greeting and lots of helpful information on what to do and see on Zadar and around the countryside. Easy access to Town center by car, bus or on foot. Will not hesitate to return for a longer stay.

Our room was spotless and very well furnished with everything we needed for our stay The host gave us a warm welcome and was very helpful with information about things to see and do in Zadar. The property is situated in a clean and safe location with easy access to the town by car, bus or on foot. We had a wonderful time and wish that we could have stayed longer. I definitely recommend and will not hesitate to return in the future.

Amazing host

Lovely home
Lovely women who runs this very homely and helpful person. Was really nice with my daughter and we never wanted to leave in the end. Room was very tidy and a lovely balcony to view her turtles in the mornig. Only thing I would suggest is softer pillows

Felling home in Zadar
Petra was super kind from the welcome cherry drink to the goodbye cup of coffee. Always helpful and kind, she made us feel at home and very well treated. The room was clean, fully renovated and a beautiful view to the sea. Only 5 Km to the city center made it easy to reach although a car is necessary. Would definitely return.

Excellent Property but far too small a room
Excellent service, friendly staff could not be more helpful, our only gripe was the room we were allocated was very small, so small that we had to keep our luggage on our balcony. We accepted this but on return we discovered the room we booked was 21sqM with 'separate' bedroom thus putting a dampener on an excellent stay

Based on my own travel experience I can understand that this kind of things can be very frustrated specially when you are staying in the room for more then one night. Size of 21 square m is total size of your accommodation including bathroom and terrace. I will need to address this issue with Expidia in order to try to find solution how to separate room size with other areas in your unit. We spent three nights at apartments Petra, the host is very welcoming and a mine of useful information which enhanced our stay. The apartment had everything we needed, including a wonderful view of the sunset from the balcony.

We got to the apartment rather late after driving from Plitvice NP but Ileana was there to greet us with her homemade sherry and trademark warmth. She made us feel at home right away. She gave us lots of info (atttractions, parking in city center, etc). We visited Zadar close to midnight which was the best decision (not crowded, cool weather, restaurants still open, parking was a breeze). Zadar is not to be missed!

Fantastic stay, host is excellent, nothing is too much trouble. If you use Google maps do not be put off by the lack of public transport....it does exist. Nearest bus stop is 5 minutes away and there is a bus every 20 minutes into the centre of Zadar(you can download an app called City bus Zadar). Besides the house next door (to the left as you leave)is a path way that leads to a road that goes to the beach (about 5 minutes away). I highly recommend staying here.

Great stay at apartment petra
The host was extremely welcoming and property itself was lovely. We were given homemade brandy on arrival and a map and directions to the old town, as well as recommendations for where to eat. We opted for a double room which came with an ensuite (shower no bath), balcony, sofa, large double bed, fridge, tea making facilities and air con. Decent hairdryers were provided which actually dry your hair.... Private parking on the property with advice on where to park is you decide to drive to the old town. The old town itself is a bit of a trek if you decide to walk 45-50 minutes but a £5 Uber ride if you decide to get a cab. Overall a great stay and would recommend.

Great owner and location
Really enjoyed staying here because the owner was so friendly and the location was close to everything. The owner welcomed us warmly and gave very good advice on what to do and where to eat. We followed his advice and it he was right. The location is very convenient so we could come back for a rest before going out again. The apartment was spacious and well equipped the bed was comfortable. The furnishings were just okay but the bed was comfortable and the wifi great. I recommend this accomodation.

I have read a lot of good reviews about Apartments Petra and sure enough they did not disappoint. With conveniently arranged airport shuttle and welcoming drink, our stay at Petra's was off to a good start! The apartments are in a convenient location, the apartment itself was very comfortable (two bathrooms made it easy), we were given clear instructions how to get to the Centre of Zadar and the hosting was superb! Balcony had an amazing view to the sea and the sunsets in Zadar are truly breathtaking. All in all, it was a very good break and a lot of it was because of the Apartments Petra. I can not thank you enough and I am hoping to come back very soon.

Great place with fantastic host
We arrived late in the evening by taxi arranged through the hotel. Was greet by Llana with her homemade sherry. She showed us to our room and said she would see us in the morning which she did giving us advice on places to go, bus info and maps on Zadar. Room was lovely and cosy with a nice balcony and sea view. It was my birthday while I was there and on the morning she knocked on the door and gave me some flowers from her garden and some homemade cherry strudel. She had noticed my DOB when checking the passport. The apartments are about 10mins walk to the seafront where you can walk along the coast into Zadar. This takes about 1 hour. You can either walk over the bridge or take a ride with The Zadar boat man who will row you across for 5 kunas. There is a bar at the end of the road and a couple of restaurants. We ate in Sime a couple of nights and couldn't fault it for food or price. I would definitely recommend Petra Apartments and will be returning.

Great hotel
This hotel is close to transport which is why we booked it. Not far to walk to cafe and restaurants and walk to Town. The host was great, made you feel welcome and gave lot's local tips. Room was clean . Would recommend

Home from home
Really enjoyed our stay, we chose a double bedroom but it had a wonderful balcony. There were thoughtful things in our room, a fridge, kettle and other bits and pieces to make our stay nice. A lovely tv and radio in the room., although no English programmes . Elana who looks after the apartments for family is amazing wants to make you happy and cares about her guests. She would make a wonderful friend if we lived close by.

GREAT place and host! Would stay again for sure. A nice walk to the bus stop to the centre or to the sea. Favourite place we stayed on our trip.

Great apartment lovely host
Apartments Petra was amazingly refreshing! The host Ilana was so sweet and gracious as we checked in very late. She made sure we were able to eat(ordered us a delicious pizza) and told us all about Zadar and Krck National Park the next morning. Our apartment was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The parking was secure and right in front of the property. A great visit to Zadar! We will definitely stay here again when in Zadar. Thanks Ilana for your wonderful hospitality!
