The staff was wonderful. The only thing is that if you need them late at night, the front desk people don’t work late. You can’t get room service eating options.

While the property is not well-marked (the sign is small), it is in an excellent location with regards to the Hauptbahnhof. Lots of shopping options abound. The hotel is definitely older and has less than 40 rooms. Noises from neighbors are easily heard. It was very clean, and the staff were all very accommodating.

This hotel is in a FANTASTIC location, very close to the central train station and easily walkable to all the old town attractions. The staff was very nice and helpful. On the downside - this property is old and in terrible condition. Marks all over the walls in the room, horrible smell of mildew in the bathroom and shower, no climate control at all, window was extremely difficult to open/close, and extremely noisy in the hallways from cleaning staff, starting at approximately 6:30am (no noise-proofing and the halls have tile floors so everything echoes loudly). I travel a lot and have stayed in all classes of hotels over the years in many different international cities; I expected a lot more based on the price and star level of this hotel. I would like to reiterate that the front desk staff was great, friendly, and very helpful; but, I was very glad that I only spent 2 nights here based on the condition of the property.

The hotel’s location is it’s best feature. It is less than 5 minute walk to the main train station and the city tram. It is walkable to some of the city’s main attractions. On top of that, the staff are very welcoming, accommodating and helpful about information in getting around the city. Both Filippo and Alex were excellent in their customer service. The hotel bar staff service was excellent as well.

Very cozy and chic hotel. Within 5 min walk from the train station. Right at the main shopping and dining street. Each room deco is unique and pretty. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely book the hotel when we visit Zurich again.

Great location, but not a great room
Location is the main benefit, as the hotel is right next to the main pedestrian street and close to restaurants, bars, shops, etc. Receptionist / service were also good and helpful. However, room and shower were very small and dated (felt rundown), and didn’t seem to be a good value for high price.

The location of this hotel is perfect! The staff was very friendly and our room was ready early! We checked out first thing in the morning which we were able to do online. It was very convenient.

We stayed there for a night waiting to leave for the train the next day to meet friends in another part of Switzerland. It was so convenient to the train station and all the shopping and restaurants. Everyone was so nice there and it was no stress or hassle to get there. I highly recommend this place. The room was just right and had all the amenities you need when traveling!

Great for a short stay

Historical hotel with modern amenities and amazing staff. Older rooms give a classic vibe, while the restaurant and main level is modern. The staff was outstanding, they even helped us print out all our train ticket reservations which was really appreciated. Walkable to everything you need to see in Zurich, with a buffet brunch and full bar at night. The street can be loud at times as there are other bars and hotels on it, but it wasnt enough to keep us awake. Very close to the train station which was great and only about a 15 min walk to Lindenhof Hill. Rooms are clean, bathroom is very small but managable. They desperately need longer shower curtains however, as the one in the shower currently was so short there ended up being water all over the floor after we showered. Robes were a nice touch but were also on the smaller side for my Fiance! Ultimately, we would recommend this place due to location, cleanliness, and staff friendliness.

Great place to stay.
The Townhouse Boutique Hotel is in an excellent location. Minutes away from the Zurich train station and within walking distance to the historic sites of the city. Plenty of restaurant options around. The bed was soft and the room was comfortable. They provided a fan so I was able to cool the room off without having to turn on the AC. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location, walkable to main train station. No air conditioning in this hotel. They provide fans but it can get very hot especially with the climate change and heatwave that Europe faced, it may not be ideal during summer or warm climate. I had requested for no down bedding and that was what given to us. I failed to check before going to bed and had an allergic reaction (swollen face) and there was no one to contact for change of bedding. The reception closes at 10 pm most nights. The following morning we requested for a change and it was done. The staff were kind and considerate but I wish they had checked our requests before hand.It is very important to note any such important requests.

The property is centrally located to everything we wanted to do in Zurich. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, we had to leave too early to try the breakfast, but overall, we would recommend!
