A very classy and upscale hotel with a view of ice capped mountains from the room. To top that we had a cabin which was very modern with a decent breakfast spread. The hotel shares the property with a golf course and is about 8 mins away from Borgarnes. Highly recommended.

We stayed in the cabins, which are adjacent to the main building. The rooms were great. Very spacious, with a small patio. Very clean. Looks new. Bathrooms have a proper shower, which is a big plus.

Really great room with the cabin. Spacious and clean. The hot tub was not hot, so not really working so that was disappointing. One giant key is not practical for a longer stay then our overnight. Breakfast good.

Delightful stay at Hotel Hamar, in fact it was so wonderful we returned at the end of our trip for another two nights. The staff is cordial and responsive, the food is excellent, breakfast is fresh and plentiful, the room was comfortable and elegant, the views of golf course and mountains were perfect.

A Wonderfull Stay!

What an amazing experience! Our room was lovely with an amazing view of the glorious mountains. The staff was very helpful - we appreciated the 2 am wake up call to advise us of the Northern Lights. Breakfast was very nice as well.

Beautiful hotel. We stayed in one of the cabins. Modern, clean, comfortable. The breakfast was the best we had all trip and the staff were friendly and nice. I would definitely stay here again. They also have a sauna and hot tub and offer to wake you up if they see the northern lights.

Great hotel in a quiet part of the island. This was a nice jumping off point for touring the Snaefellsnes peninsula. Nice facilities. The cabins are very comfortable!
