As an “airport hotel,” for 1 night the room was fine. Due to my early departure, I did not experience the breakfast. However, upon arrival, I asked the representative the methods for transport to the airport. She said taxis are available outside even at very late/early hours. I asked for the rate to Terminal 2 and was told approx 8 EURO. When I took the taxi the driver charged me 22 EURO. As an airport hotel, this is a scam for the taxis as the representative said it was basically the only alternative. That is ridiculous. 22 EURO for a 5 minute taxi ride at 4 am!

This is a pretty basic travel hotel with ok rooms and actually quite a good breakfast. What it is not is an airport hotel. It’s ten minutes in a taxi at least from the airport and there is no way you can walk it. Don’t be fooled by the hotel’s name.

Ibis hotel aeropuerto was very close to the airport. Although, I got ripped off by the cab driver coming from the airport. Going back was very reasonable. The hotel was ok. But,I paid too much. I should have gone to them directly. I am unhappy that hotels.com ripped me off!

I had a one-night layover in Madrid and chose this hotel because of its proximity to the airport. The staff was super nice and accommodating, allowed me to check in early, and gave me helpful tips on how to explore the city in the limited time I had. The room was cozy, with comfortable beds—nothing too fancy, but clean with everything you might expect from a standard hotel. I didn’t have a chance to stay for breakfast, but it smelled amazing in the lobby at check-out. Overall, a nice option for the price.

August 2 checked in at 12 in the afternoon. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel compelled to after experiencing blatant racism from a staff member. I was traveling alone with my three daughters (ages 5, 9, and 11) and had booked a room for three people. I understood we were one over capacity, but the hotel offered no alternatives except booking a second room. When I asked if the rooms were connected, they said no and I couldn’t leave one child alone. I suggested my brother (staying at another hotel) could take one of the kids for the night. The woman at the front desk responded, “I know your kind and I know this story.” As a Middle Eastern woman wearing a headscarf, exhausted after a long day of travel, I was shocked. I broke down in tears and had to call my husband, who ended up booking another room just to resolve the situation. In the end, we stayed together in one room, while the second room went unused simply because of her discriminatory assumptions. I never expected this kind of treatment in Spain. Racism has no place in hospitality.

The major dislike was that the Ac was not working in the 2 rooms we booked, the heat was on and impossible to switch to the Ac (it was cool outside). We had to open up the windows and slept with a lot of noise.
