Had a great 2 night stay while visiting the park in ZJJ. Such a peaceful and beautiful area, clean room, and great food. Rain was a big help by routing us through the park to avoid the crowds.

Lovely and homely stay at the lodge. We were pleasantly upgraded to a cabin room which we loved. Rain was extremely welcoming and helped us with all our luggage and even brought out a heater to our room as soon as we asked. Great communication, amazing location for the Zhangjaijei mountains, and Rain even dropped us and picked us up. There is a tea master as well who makes home made teas and some cute pets. Truly feels like a lovely family run cosy home. Would definitely recommend!

The guys on reception were so helpful and friendly and spoke very good English. Free drop off to park entrance, 5 mins away and would pick us up as arranged on WeChat. Super unique stay in Zhang Jia Jie! 1000/10 recommend if you are visiting. Food was delicious, hospitality was amazing, Frankie was really helpful and kind. The rooms and atmosphere is very relaxing and zen, there’s a beautiful infinity pool and another pool. Lots of activities and a tea master at the hotel was one of a kind !

Fantastic place

We had a great stay at the hotel. They reallly make a effort so that all our needs are attended to. The room has a amazing view e the staff are very helpfull. Wonderful stay at No. 5 Valley Lodge

Nestled amongst the mountains of Zhangjiajie lies the coziest, warmest hotel featuring a world class act in Frankie (who coordinated ALL of our activities with a friendly smile), delicious breakfast and dinner - and views that are worth a million bucks. We had a blast here and highly recommend this place for all future travelers - especially if you’re here to spend time at the National Parks.

It was a very memorable stay for our family here. The view was exceptional. The best part about our stay is having Frankie coordinate everything for us from pick up at train station, dinning, tickets to Zhangjaijei National park to the ins and outs of the area. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The staff were very accommodating. I would love to stay here again next time I visit.

I’m extremely satisfied with my stay at No. 5 Valley Lodge. The place is super quiet and located very close to the park entrance (only about 5 minutes away). If you’re looking for a peaceful spot away from the noise, this is the perfect place. The meals were delicious, the pool was comfortably heated, and the views were absolutely incredible. A special thank you to Rain, who was extremely helpful and guided us through every step of our stay — from picking us up at the airport, taking us to the park each day, and driving us to the train station — always perfectly on time. From check-in to check-out, the service was nothing short of exceptional. Frankie went above and beyond to make our stay both phenomenal and effortless. Thanks to his help, arranging transportation and securing tickets for attractions was completely stress-free—I didn’t have to worry about a thing.The room and lodge were absolutely stunning and truly one of a kind. The ambiance and cozy atmosphere were unlike anywhere I’ve ever stayed. The place is amazing! So beautiful and the staff is great! The food is farm to table , the food is really good. You can bake your own cookies and we had the best tea experience I have gone to tea houses in Japan and this lady , her tea which she makes herself is one of the best teas I ever tried. And I love tea. I will definitely vibe back if I have the opportunity. Spectacular views of the mountains and sunsets . Also you can walk around . I definitely recommended .

We had a great stay at the No. 5 Valley Lodge! The staff are very accommodating and welcoming. The hotel is located very close to the West Entrance of the park and offers rides to the entrance on days you wish to explore. On our day at the resort, there were fun activities organized by the hotel, a beautiful pool overlooking the valley, and rice fields you could walk along! If we ever return to Zhangjiajie, we will be sure to return!

Beautiful property and amazing hospitality. We were only here for 2 nights but felt right at home. Frankie took care of everything even before we arrived to Zhangjiajie and arranged for our entire trip from start to finish, including daily transport in and out of the park, and our wonderful dinner one of the nights. We even sang karaoke on our last night. Its a lot of fun! I highly recommend if anyone is considering. The west entrance is also quiet and away from the crowds for a quiet retreat.

Unreal stay — a hidden gem in Zhangjiajie! We had an amazing two-night stay at No.5 Valley Lodge, and Frankie and the team went above and beyond to look after us. They arranged our airport and train station transfers seamlessly, and the complimentary shuttle to the national park entrance was super convenient. Dinner each night was lovely — simple but tasty — and the lodge itself has an incredible ambience: peaceful, natural, and slightly rustic in the best way. Our room was absolutely sublime, spacious, and beautifully designed. The Wi-Fi was a little slow, but honestly, that only added to the charm — it’s the perfect place to disconnect and unwind. Frankie speaks excellent English, which made communication effortless. He even helped us plan our route through Zhangjiajie National Park and came to the rescue when we got lost! It’s not close to the city, but that’s part of what makes it so special — you’re surrounded by nature and tranquility. Highly recommend staying here before the area gets overrun by Western tourists. A truly unforgettable experience!

Amazing scenery. The resort is very well kept and has friendly staff. The hotel receptionist Rain was extremely helpful, he helped me with booking all the activities i wanted to do and explain the process i should follow and timings. It was amazing and beyond what you see in photos. From the time of arrival, we were greeted warmly and professionally by Frank. The comfort of the room, the delicious meals, serene and beautiful setting made it a comfortable retreat after long days in the National park. We were pleasantly surprised by the tea master who is often available to serve up a variety of teas. It was delicious and educational. You are better off with car as it is some distance from town and the main park entrance, but it’s worth it to stay away from the crowds. I’d stay there again!

We had a wonderful stay at No. 5 Valley Lodge. The staffs were so helpful and friendly. Frankie was the best. He arranged everything for us from national park tickets, meals, transportation. Anything we ever needed. They were also available through wechat at all times if we had any questions. The hotel is far from downtown (if you want to go to other destinations) but very close to Zhangjiajie NP. Highly recommend this place and we would absolutely book again if we come back.

Amazing place with wonderful people

We had a wonderful time at No. 5 from beginning to end. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and modern whilst being right in nature. We were very well looked after by the staff especially Frankie who went above and beyond every day even helping us organise trips and buy tickets and driving us to the entrance of the national park. He was even on hand over Alipay chat to answer questions we had whilst on day trips. Frankie’s dog was also very sweet and warmly greeted us whenever she saw us :) Yama served us wonderful tea and was fascinating to speak to. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place. The surrounding area is amazing and we so enjoyed the national park, ancient town and “Grand Canyon”.

Our 5-night stay at No.5 Valley Resort in mid-March 2025 was truly remarkable, thanks in large part to the exceptional hospitality and personalized service provided by the entire staff, especially the Manager, Rain, & tea master, Yang Mei. From the moment we arrived, Rain ensured our stay was seamless & enjoyable, demonstrating a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction. He went above & beyond to provide us with all the information we needed to explore the Wulingyuan National Park, even helping us purchase tickets & offering insider tips to make our visit truly memorable. The beautiful & elegant Yang Mei made our experience even more special, treating my husband & me like old friends. Her calligraphy lessons were both engaging & inspiring, while her vast knowledge of tea allowed us to appreciate the delicate flavors and nuances of each variety she prepared for us. We will always cherish the thoughtful gifts she bestowed upon us. After 2 days of exploring the stunning landscapes of Wulingyuan National Park, we were able to unwind and rejuvenate at the resort for the remainder of our stay. The serene atmosphere and picturesque surroundings allowed us to connect with nature, breathe in the fresh air, and truly relax. To anyone seeking a remarkable getaway filled with warmth, hospitality, and unforgettable experiences, No.5 Valley Resort is the perfect choice. We cannot thank Rain, Yang Mei, and the entire staff enough for making our visit so memorable and cannot wait to return.
