"Room not available until after 6pm. Was told first floor. Was on second floor far from everything. Room was not cleaned well. Hair in shower. "

"My stay at the Super 8 in Joliet Illinois was not good at all. First off they put me in a room next door to a man who had already been warned about his drunkin behavior. So this man is drunk and banging on the walls, being extremely loud and so disruptive all night. At 6:30 am when I heard a woman's voice in the hallway in distress I went to the front desk to complain. I told the man behind the desk that there is a situation on the third floor that has continued all night, he asked me my room number and when I said it was next door he went right up and kicked the man out. Whose room was trashed and obviously some shenanigans had gone on all night, like I said. I requested a refund maybe a partial refund, maybe some Wyndham rewards to make it right. The man insulted me for even suggesting it and then made fun of me with another guest in the lobby. I would like to point out I am solo traveling and for an older woman that's not even 5 feet tall, I don't like to draw attention to myself so going to the lobby at 3am when I was still awake to complain and request a room change was out of the question. It would have required 2 trips I would have had to repack my cooler from the items I had placed in the mini fridge. I also had unpacked my bathroom stuff including my tooth brush and all my cosmetics. So I would have needed to pack all that up and take two trips to change rooms, solo while drunk men are loitering in the hallway. Absolutely NOT! I am extremely unhappy about this! "

"Room smelled like mildew and felt damp/humid. They did have a dehumidifier running in the room. Everything was clean."

"Dirty bedding, bedding so stained/ dirty a transfer to a new room was necessary. Loud banging AC fan units in rooms. "

"Location was great for a jumping off point. Centrally located, yet quiet and somewhat secluded. Facilities were exactly what one would expect (actually better) than the price point. The only issue was the bed. I have traveled to everywhere from Panamanian jungle cabins and Cuban home stays, to Europe and Vietnam; but this was the single worst bed I have ever slept in (captains room). Pro-tip - put two pillows under the mattress, running down the centerline of the bed. Worked well and made the bed somewhat comfortable. I was torn on giving a high rating because everything is fantastic, except for the beds."

"No refrigerator or microwave in room. They were partying in the parking lot. Smoking and drinking and loud. Mattress was worn out. "

"The night attendant went 0 to 60 testy about the towels. The only way he would give us two more towels is if we physically brought down our dirty ones. It was perplexing to say the least. After learning that the hotel has lost many towels to beach goers, I told him we had taken our own beach towels from home. It made no difference. The next morning, the day attendant gave us plenty of them and just wrote down our room number. Made much more sense and very kind about it. BRING YOUR OWN BEACH TOWELS, regardless. Common courtesy was probably destroyed by previous hotel guests and we received hostility because of it. Not a pleasant encounter."
