Had everything needed for a wonderful stay. The building is around 150 years old so don't expect modern amenities, but it has very good facilities nonetheless.
Staff were friendly and very helpful, room extremely comfortable, good A/C, good pool and excellent breakfast range. The free tour was a great bonus.
It's in easy walking distance of all the main sights in George Town and the area felt very safe.
Worth staying at the Blue Mansion just to say that you have stayed there. The fact it is also a very decent hotel in addition to being a top tourist attraction is the icing on the cake

After two attempts, our twin opera view room at the very end of the hall had no hot water in the shower. Other than that, great free buffet breakfast, with free coffee and juice.

Though carparking is charged by the day with multiple entry, there was a double charge on one of the day. When query, the reception staff (guy) was kind of rude in clarifying details, he seem to be 'questioning'. Service staffs at breakfast was on the other hand very courteous.
The place has lost its shine over the years.

The Fairmont Peace Hotel is a beautiful hotel that is perfectly located near the Bund. The staff at the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shanghai.

The room was alright for just a 2 day stay , not the best condition, but manageable, the breakfast was a 4 out of 10 , better off going to the street and eating better food , front desk staff was great !!!!! Like it ok for a 2-3 day stay , wouldn’t stay here for longer then that only if I had to
