Rooms have sealed windows, only air via noisy old AC system. You have to wear earplugs to sleep. At dawn the sunlight would enter the room and show that the AC vent was black , coated with dust. The rug was dark , stained, needed a steam vacuum cleaning. The highly publicized godzilla head deck was closed off for visitors! This is the most distinctive part of the hotel and you could not even see it close up. This place looks good only from afar, not close up in real life. We spent 7 nights there only because of its proximity to many nearby shows. Shibuya is a more normal area to stay at as this area called Kabuchiko is fully of deviants, gangsters and prostitutes.

A fabulous hotel with a great location. We used the Club floor facilities and they were excellent and also dined in 2 of the in-house restaurants and enjoyed them both. It was a very calm place to stay in a very hectic and energetic city.
Our room looked out at the Tokyo tower which was spectacular especially at night and the nearby gardens offered a tranquil experience after battling the crowds in the city. It was also a short walk to the Hop on hop off bus which made it easy for us to get around and see the main attractions.
