"The rural sheep farm offered quiet, a modern cabin, excellent food dinner, a wonderful farm tour that included wallabies, echidnas, a sheepdog herding demonstration, and an up-close sheep shearing demonstration. The owner is gracious and informative in several languages. We spent 2 nights enjoying comfortable beds and the calls of many interesting birds and animals. Nearby we can also recommend the gin distillery tasting and hiking the 3 waterfalls at Mt. Field national park. "

"This place is a little gem, all of the staff are happy and helpful. They are great communicators. This is a very rustic place, very clean, warm rooms, comfy beds. They offer cooked dinners as they are out of town, I had the cooked dinner and it was awesome. They have a very nice selection of quality wines. They have areas on the property that you can bush walk, with a lot of birdlife and native plants. There is an unsealed dirt road of about 10km long to get to them, considering the length...

"A beautiful place and friendly staff! But can’t lock your little house/tent from the outside and WiFi would only work at the reception. "

"The wool classers shed was well appointed and very comfortable . A bit small for more than one nights stay but otherwise quite nice. The road in and the road through to St Helens is suitable for Toyota Landcruiser type vehicles but not for regular sedans, its riddled with corrugations. I guess that's our fault for not researching things before hand. But Icena farmhouse is comfortable and quiet."
