The hotel staff speaks English well, and was really helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Only thing that I wasn’t satisfied about was the google map navigation, the hotel has perfect location but google map kept guiding me to the wrong direction. But overall, great hotel and great service.

Everything about this stay was great except the mattress was very firm and the pillows weren't very comfortable. Other than that, five stars. Breakfast was delicious.

Got off the train at the station, signage was poor to direct me to the hotel and nothing to say reception was on the second floor.

Staff never respond to questions via message the hotel about getting a two twin room because I now had two guest instead of 1. Thus, they charged me cash for the 2nd person like I was in the wrong and didn't give a receipt. I asked them online three times, in person 4 hours before check in. And still they didn't care to listen. I will never go back to this place. They are just all rude and unhelpful unlike the other 4 hotels I had to stay at during this trip to Japan. This one was the worst.

A week ago, I stayed here for two nights and checked in was acceptable. However when I checked in yesterday at 12.30pm I was told by the service staff that checked in only at 4pm. I requested if it is possible we check in at 2.30pm or 3pm as last week I was able to checked in at 2.30 pm. I was told no, only at 4pm. We left the hotel and came back at 2.45pm and told one of the service staff to advise us when room is ready. At 3.15pm I saw a group of youngsters were told that they could go up to their rooms. I then went back to the same girl to ask whether the room is available. She again said no check in until 4pm. I then said why the group of youngsters able to check in and she said because they are club member and I am not. I then requested to see the Manager. If she were to say room not available rather than I am not a club member! SO IS THIS A HOTEL OR A CLUB? Other than this bad encounter the hotel is good and value for money

Convenient for the station
Perfectly pleasant hotel, lovely staff, spotlessly clean. Decent value for money, and very convenient indeed if you have an early train from Akita station because the building is connected to the station concourse via a pedestrian bridge. Restaurants and a convenience store are also available within the complex.

Good location, well connected directly to station. Room is of an ok size compared to other hotels. Room is well light and comfortable. Walkway is brightly lighted as well. Breakfast is just ok. Will stay again next time.

I know nothing can be perfect! But as a reminder to room cleaners. Not to forget to wipe the beds’ headboard as it was dusty. I would have preferred new slippers as well. Thank you.

Great location, clean and good service.
The hotel is in the train station but in an adjoining/interlinked building, so the google map did confuse me when I tried to find the hotel. The service and cleaness is same as other Toyoko Inn. The single room is good for solo traveller. The breakfast is not as good as other Toyoko Inns because of very little choices.

Easy check-in. Very clean and simple hotel at a reasonable rate. Close to the JR station, which is nice, but still tricky to find as it’s nestled within a shopping tower. The staff were friendly and polite but did not kow English so you’d better know some Japanese if you have questions.

Loved the location, it was easily accessible with public transport. Took a bus and a few good eateries and took a nice 30min stroll back to hotel. Love the environment and felt very safe. The hotel entrance was quite easy to miss as it was located on the 2nd floor.
