"It was conveniently located close to the jetties for the fjord cruises. This was the main advantage. The staff were generally very nice and professional. The buffet breakfast was delicious. The room was quite comfortable. The view was quite good - large window facing the waterfront and mountains in the distance. I wish that there could have been more closet space - I cannot understand why there cannot be extra rods to hang clothes and towels - the room is after all quite spacious. The wallpaper in the bedroom should be changed to something more neutral and soothing (instead of this giant photo of a man and woman …..). The lobby area used to look more upmarket and classy 10 years or so ago - but this time it looked different, somewhat less refined and more like a pub."

"We booked a superior room which was on a high floor. The floor to ceiling windows were the entire width of the room and the view was amazing. Our room was ready early which was a bonus. The room was decorated nicely and was a good size with arms chairs. We didn’t book breakfast as the breakfast area was at the back of the lobby with no windows. The hotel is up a small hill so bear in mind if you are rolling bags from the airport bus or the ferry. We would stay here again as it was good value for the location. The hotel is also right by the park with the stair case up to the viewpoint"

"The room was clean, and the bathroom is small. Typical of what I have been seeing here in most hotels in Norway. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was as expected, the cooked items were barely warm and the scrambled eggs could have been cooked more. A ship pier is situated right next to hotel so you could get woken up by a ship at 1 AM!"

"The cabins are well kept, clean and tidy with care. Highly recommend upgrading your reservation to the larger cabins with bathroom and service kitchen complete with oven, cook top stove and healthy size refrigerator. The extra cost is worth every kroner. Thanks to the camp host, he was as welcoming as could be. Will happily stay here again! "
