It technically was the same as the description, but the pictures made it look larger. The stairs (no lift) going to the room were steep. All the rooms are off the staircase, we could hear every person coming up and down the stairs all night. Multiple peoole even ran into our door because the stairs are so small. The room was cold with a window open when we arrived, and had to turn the heat on ourselves. Didn't look like it had been cleaned, hair in the sheets, dirty sock and used bandaid under my bed. Would not stay again.

Great location
We are a family of 5 and we booked the family room with ensuite. Everything worked and the beds were reasonably comfortable. Best thing about it was being central to the city with centraal station 12 mins walk away, and 2 mins to bars, fast food and supermarkets.

Had the best time of our lives!! went with 5 of my girlfriends age range 21-26..if you are looking for a club and like latin/ hip hop and house go to Escape. The cafe's in amsterdam are too good

Room was infested with bedbugs and we were unable to be moved until the second night resulting in us being bitten throughly. However, the second room was clean and tidy and showned no sign of bedbugs.

Location is great. Close to train station, canal cruises, etc. Room was clean, very small, and basic. Hallways smelled of smoke. Steep hike up a lot of stairs to upper rooms. Expensive for what you get- a bunkbed and a towel. You really are paying for the location. We visited in June, and were on the 4th floor. It was BOILING HOT!! NO AC and the single window in the room was cracked open only an inch due to a metal bar that prevented it from opening any further. We literally were dripping in sweat the entire night. It was MISERABLE!! Did not sleep well, if at all because of the heat and lack of air flow- borderline unsafe with 5 of us crammed into this small space with no air flow. If we could have opened the window completely it would have been tolerable, but because of all the drugs in the city, the law requires the bar across the window. Would not stay at this hotel again.

Staff was great, location was perfect for walking to a lot of nearby attractions or ordering an uber to pick up right outside the hotel for the farther things. Was a very close walk to the train station. Hotel is kid friendly and doesn't allow smoking inside the rooms, which fit the preferences of our family. There was a lot of stairs up a narrow staircase to get to the room, the room was small but had the necessary amenities including a fan, and the room wasn't completely clean, a lot of dust. Overall we had a good stay.

Nice staff but awful place to stay, rooms dirty and small. Noisy, and there is no lift. Not fun and not safe carrying your luggage up their very narrow stairs.. instant regret in not spending a bit more and booking something a bit nicer ..

Street noise gets in the room, floor was not clean at the arrival. There's no luggage storage after checkout. Stairs are narrow enough to prevent large luggage from passing.

We stayed w hubby and 3 kids at this hotel for 2 nights. We were allocated an 8 bed room (4 bunk beds) so had welcomed extra space: the room itself is narrow and included a small table, 2 stools and some shelves and hungers. We found it clean, w friendly staff and comfortable warm beds and excellently located. Couldn’t get the TV to work and the shower screen wouldn’t stay closed but that wasn’t a big issue for us. Our room overlooked the back street where a club played music till late and it’s loud customers sang in the streets for us, so I’d suggest you request internal location if this would bother you. We were on a 3rd floor accesible only by steep stairs (no elevator), so bear that in mind if you have reduced mobility. We enjoyed our stay here and would return mainly due to its wonderful location.

Good value for money
The hotel was good value for the money we paid. The staff was really friendly and helpful and made our stay enjoyable. All id say us if you have any problems walking make sure you ask for bottom floor as the steps are a nightmare to get up. But again the staff did there best to get us movedvto help my friend who has heaet problems.

Room with no ventilation at all, they’ve insisted on charging us “city tax” which by law has to be paid by the hotel not the customers. They deny to give me a proper receipt of this extra charge.

We booked this hostel due to it having a 24/7 bar and they closed the bar due to Covid-19 which seemed extremely excessive to say that the bar was absolutely tiny with only 3 tables, meaning minimal risk. Seemed like they just could not be bothered to have it open. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Travel hotel surprised me. I thought it would be a lot worse than it was. There were some abrasive employees who refused to give us any complementary water after going up three flights of very steep and dangerous stairs. However, we had a private room and it served it’s purpose perfectly, beds were surprisingly comfortable only problem was window didn’t shut so room was often quite cold. Walls are thin.

The hotel is in a great location in the city center. Our room was small, but what one would expect from a hostel. Personnel is very kind. On the whole, it's a great choice if you on a budget and wouldn't like to accommodate somewhere far away from the downtown area.
