Loved this hotel. The pool was really nice, as was the restaurant and food and drink options. The room was clean and spacious. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Location was not very ideal (more than 3km away from the main Arusha town) and the price of the rooms doesn't seem to be cheap despite being further away.

Incredible staff: Goodluck, Emmanuel, Harumu, Mussa, Allen and all the employees under the direction of Lydia combine to take care of all our hotel and dining needs. Exceptionally clean: we saw three people cleaning the hallways on a Sunday afternoon. It's reasonably priced and worth every penny. With a tall electric fence and alert security guards, it's very safe.

We did not enjoy our stay. The photos for the room we booked did not match the actual room we were given. Also, there were problems with plumbing. When we were moved to another room after complaining our new room also had plumbing issues as well as cockroaches.

For the price, it was very good.
The hotel is a little dated but the rooms are clean. The staff are friendly and really helpful. The location is a little out of the way from town center but it allows you to explore a bit. It is about a 30min walk to the central clock tower. We used it to prep for Kilimanjaro and as a hotel on the return for recovery. That was fairly convenient. The complimentary breakfast was good.

Good hotel before/after safari
We stayed here a night after our safari. Its a gated hotel with a nice pool and cozy little area for breakfast outdoors. The reaturant was okey and rooms were clean but a bit wierd layout. In general we were happy with our stay.

It’s like staying with family
This is my second time staying here and it feels like coming home. The staff are the best ever and make his hotel special. The rooms are spacious and clean. You will never find a better hotel staff anywhere!

Stay at Green mountain hotel was disappointing. Bed headrest was dirty, electric kettle in room was dirty, chair in room was dusty, menu book in room was dirty, bathroom mirror light was broken (couldn't see face clearly), and after first night there was no water coming from the sink to wash hands!!!! We returned from safari and had to wait because both the shower and sink had no water. After it was "fixed" the sink continued to be without water! We used water bottles and because we were out all day until very late, we couldn't follow up. Friendly and nice staffs, but a good room cleaning and review before check in should be enforced!

We had a very large room with a nice bathroom on the 4th floor. There was some traffic noise but it did not interupt our sleep. Breakfast buffet was good and we had a nice dinner at the restaurant onsite. There is a pool but it wasn't quite hot enough to enjoy a swim. There is an outside area to sit and have a drink. The only downside is its location if you want to go to the centre of town. Its about a 20min dusty walk on a busy road or you can catch a dala dala. I would not want to travel at night because street lightening is very poor. There are a few shops nearby and an ATM. Staff are very friendly and we had a very pleasant stay.

Adequate before safari
Our room facing the street was noisy. Also, unusual was the shower head right next to toilet, leaving the floor sopping wet in the whole bathroom. Staff was friendly and accommodating though, such as running out to buy wine for us because they don't offer it. Bed was comfortable, too. Our safari company moved us to a different hotel for the second night because the Green Mountain is undergoing renovation and that place was nicer.

Friendly Hotel
The best part of his hotel is their staff. They are so friendly and helpful that you feel surrounded by friends and family. I really enjoyed my time there. They helped me shop, find my way around and many times I would just relax outside talking to the staff! Truly enjoyable!

overall good.
Overall, it is a good place to stay. We had a problem with the TV, which would come on in the middle of the night for no reason we could discern. We would turn it off, and it would come back on. Finally we figured out how to unplug it. The staff said they fixed it, but we had the same issue the next night-- no idea why this happened, but it did. The restaurant is pretty good and breakfasts were excellent.

Arusha Beauty!
Stayed here on both legs of our trip to and from the Serengeti. You can ask for an upgrade once you get to the hotel. Worth the extra money. Larger rooms and modern ac. This is a beautiful hotel in Africa....(you are not staying in New York city!) Staff were awesome!! Very helpful and kind. Rolling blackouts in Arusha force the hotel to use a large generator in the back of the hotel. This generator is LOUD...but necessary. Generator shuts off once the power comes on. This is all part of visiting Arusha, not a fault of the hotel. Pool area is lovely, and a great place to unwind. There is no alcohol at this hotel or restaurant. They will go out and get you beer or wine if you want some(or bring your own). The food was excellent at the restaurant!

Good value for cost
Stayed two nights. Had to book 2 rooms because they didn't allow 4 adults (us and 2 grown children) to stay in one room. Added expense but OK. Rooms were not what we booked on line, supposed to have King bed with pool view, got smaller beds with street view. Aside from that, staff were friendly, rooms were clean, breakfast had a good selection of food, pool, although small was refreshing and clean. Security good. Would stay again.

We didn’t get the room I booked. When I went down to talk to them about it,I was told they had no rooms. They did offer to move us the next day but we didn’t bother. The room was very noisy and hardly slept at night. Food was not good and it and drinks were expensive. Didn’t have half the items on the menu. We came back to Arusha after our safari and there’s no way I would stay here again. We booked another hotel that we r quite happy with.

Rip off deal in the restaurant
THe restaurant are running a rip off scheme. Since they are not licensed , if you ask for a beer or a wine, they go next door to buy them , charge you a fortune and then try to keep the change. Not impressed.

Safe, secure and all you need!
First of all the staff cannot do enough for you! With Anthony as the manager the other staff follow his high customer service lead. Very happy with the service and the friendliness of the staff. We felt safe and secure and well looked after. The rooms were clean and comfortable with the added addition of water each day in the room. My issue was that none of the wifi worked inside my room so I had to keep going out to reception. Other guests in our party had no issue with this in their rooms at the opposite end of the corridor. Pool was nice albeit a bit cold and towel is provided for use. My friend found a large screw at the bottom of the pool which was a surprise. Breakfast was delicious and a good range to choose from. Dinner was good too and cooked in front of you. Didn't like that drinks had to be bought by staff off site which took time but also on one occasion my friend did not receive his change. Overall it was a good place to stay a couple of nights with a good location for walking to the clock tower and Maasai market for example. Big thanks to the lovely staff for being so welcoming and helpful to the 4 of us. Also must mention Marcello who was a taxi driver used by the hotel - he was fantastic, knowledgeable and helpful!

Good stop before and/or after safari
Staff was very helpful and friendly. There was a mix up about our room type at check in. But Catherine quickly accommodated us. The restaurant was really good, with a nice variety of foods available. There was lots of street noise, as well as inside the building noise at night. But we were only staying for one night before and after safari, where conditions were MUCH more rustic. So it suited us just fine.

Great hotel for a good price
I stayed here before and after I stared a six day safari. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are nice and big, and clean. The WIFI is a little week, I was able to receive emails and update FB and other things, but I could not send emails or update statuses.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms are nice, open, and clean. The hotel restaurant is good and the prices are reasonable. The wifi is ok, I could receive emails and get FB, but could not sent email messages or upload/update anything.
