"Great location except for the stairs. We were in the rear wing which meant negotiating stairs with heavy luggage. Views were pleasant from our room with glimpses of the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque and nice balcony, but room was noisy until just after midnight. There was a noisy generator of some kind which vibrated a lot until it went off after midnight. Then we were usually woken by the noise of scraping furniture upstairs from the breakfast around 7. Otherwise we had a very nice stay."

"This place is perfectly located in the Galata neighborhood and just a short walk to the Galata Tower. The staff were impeccable and the daily breakfast was delicious in the rooftop restaurant. I couldn't sleep early one morning and went to the lobby and the desk clerk made me an espresso at no charge. The furnishings are exactly what I thought I would find in Turkey. Definitely would stay again."

"I stayed at Hotel MOLA Galata for four nights in September 2026, my final stretch in Istanbul, and it turned out to be a great home base for exploring the city one last time before heading home. The location is fantastic — right in Galata, close to Karaköy and within easy reach of all the major sites, making it super convenient for wandering the neighborhood or hopping to Sultanahmet and Beyoğlu. The 5th floor terrace has genuinely great views over the area, a nice spot to unwind with a coffee or just take in the city before heading out for the day. The design of the hotel itself is really cute — thoughtfully put together in a way that gives it a lot of character without feeling over-the-top. It strikes me as a great choice for solo travelers or couples specifically, given the intimate scale and feel of the place. There's also a cool-looking cafe downstairs — I didn't get a chance to try it myself, but it added to the overall charm of the building. One small but appreciated detail: the lockbox and door key system made coming and going incredibly easy, which matters a lot when you're out exploring all day and coming back at odd hours. At around $70 USD a night (as of September 2026), this was excellent value for the location, design, and views on offer over a four-night stay. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a stylish, well-located, and reasonably priced base in Galata."

"The hotel is beautiful and well located with various nice restaurants in the neighborhood . Everything was ok except the small elevator the hotel has. Not enough to serve the people staying at the hotel and the people who came to the rooftop bar which has a great view of the city. We spent 20 minutes trying to go down from our floor to the lobby because the elevator only fits 3 people inside and it was full of people already coming from the lobby to the roof top so we could not get in. We almost lost an appointment we had because of this. The hotel should try to fix this problem. Apart from this issue everything was great."

"We had a lovely stay at the heart of Galata in this lovely hotel. It was modern and we'll maintained throughout. It was centrally placed for the Galata Tower and other local tourist sites. The staff were friendly and helpful."
