oh my god this hotel is the worst to sleep. You can heard the noises across the walls. The housekeepers and the guess slaps the doors early in the morning and the guess talk super loud and the dogs barking can’t let you sleep not mentioning that you can hear all the toilets and water coming out of the faucets. So yes it is ideal if you want to be like a zombie and sleepless nobody will be able to sleep. Also people at the front desk needs to be more informed about other countries passport because they didn’t want to check me in with my passport card, instead the keep asking me for the book which I didn’t have at that moment.

We got there at 11 a.m. and had checked in, and have requested a street facing room with balcony. We were told it willbe ready by 2, whne we got back at 4, we were not given the room we were told, and we were told that the room that was already assigned to us, was given to someone else. so we were in a small room, and the air con wasn't working, we called the staff to have it checked, he tried and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working, this was already past 9 pm. the staff said he would call maintenance, only to find out that they are off for the day, so we didn't have air con all night. with the check in confusion, we were told to bring our luggages to the reception by 11 am the next day so that they can check if they can transfer us to a street fronting room, which we did, and they did transfer us. we asked the manager on duty about these incoveniences (air con issue and the check in issue), at at least free breakfast, but they denied us, the told us that there was not problem with the air con, this is even after the staff had checked it out and it wasn't working and this is after the staff admitted that the room that was assigned to us already was given to someone else. we were just asking for free breakfast which was $15/person, and for the incovenience we encountered, it was given to us. My wife has recommended this hotel to me as she stayed at this hotel in 2023, with a group of 6 people. We are DEFINITELY NOT going to stay at this hotel again.

The staff make this hotel. Besides the amazing location and the amazing view from our 8th floor room while sitting on our private balcony; the staff are the most attentive, welcoming, knowledgeable, and professional I have seen in my traveling career. By far Luis was one of the nicest people we had the pleasure of meeting in this city and will take good care of you, but that goes for the rest of the staff aswell. If I could rate the our experience higher than 5/5 I would.

This is my second time as a guest at this hotel and once again I am very pleased with my stay. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the staff are helpful and friendly, particularly the gentleman who works on the reception desk, who’s name is Carlos. He is a very nice man, he is amiable, polite and is a great asset to the hotel. Overall I can thoroughly recommend the Hotel Ilunion Almirante and will stay there again on my next trip to Barcelona. Muchas Gracias!

This is NOT a 4 star hotel. At best, it’s a 2. It’s really outdated, and dirty and the pictures are not representative of this property. Staff was okay but not very hospitable. Not rude but definitely not welcoming or friendly like other hotels in Barcelona.

The bathroom door opened partially because behind it was located a bidet - this was both an architectural and functional fault. No iron or steamer in the room, and no magnifying mirror in the bathroom. Unfortunately, it seems the walls between rooms are not sound insulated because when our neighbouring rooms showered, closed their door, or spoke we could easily hear them. Overall, I do not believe this is four star hotel. The only attractive part about the hotel is that is walkable to Pl Catalyuna going North, and the Beach/Port Vell, going south.

The hotel is fine. There is a construction on site. My review is because I asked for a taxi to one of their staff and they said I should wait 30 minutes and I iwas ok with that. The inconvenience is that after that time they said the taxi is unavailable because they can't reach the zone. A clearly lie because there were several taxis around the street.
