Good location, but unprofessional front desk staff
Hotel just (re)opened a few days before we checked in and was/is still undergoing a refurbishment.
There is potential, but at this point, I cannot recommed the hotel. It actually pains me to write this because part of the staff were lovely, but two of the front desk staff were were unprofessional and frankly unsuited for their jobs.
We arrived at 1½-2 hours before official check-in time (15:00), and rooms were, not surprisingly, not ready at that time. No problem, we had lunch and came back at 15:30-16:00. When we got back, there was a long line for check-in, and nothing happening. I asked the front desk staff about when she expected we could get our room; she was dismissive and said "we have to check the rooms, it will be a few minutes". Half an hour went by, nothing happened and no information, and I was once again met by a very dismissive attitude when I inquired.
At approx 16:15, we got our room. However, the cleanliness left something to wish for - eg. there was left a plastic wrapper from a tampon on the floor and water/urine stains on the toilet seat and the wall.
It took several hours to get this remedied, including several frustrating, almost comedic, discussions with the front desk staff. We never got towels for two people despite asking for it several times. I could continue.
The manager sent us a bottle of sparkling wine and nice note to compensate; nice gesture. But ultimately service not good enough.
Please note that the advertised gym is not yet open.
