I loved staying at Hotel Schwabenwirt! The staff gets an A for helpfulness! Unfortunately I didn’t get her name, but one of the receptionists felt like a friend by the time we left, as she had helped us multiple times throughout our stay in addition to check in and check out. Breakfast being included was convenient and helpful for keeping costs down and getting going with our activities earlier in the day than if we had to go find somewhere to eat breakfast. We highly recommend this stay for anyone visiting Berchtesgaden without a car and relying on public transportation, as it is right across the street from the train and bus station. Our only qualm was that our room faced the street, and the noise was loud until things calmed down late at night, especially since we had the window open pretty much constantly to regulate the temperature.

Great service, location. Beautiful surroundings.
Berchtesgaden was well worth the visit. Beautiful. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Construction was underway to enlarge the dining area. It’s an older hotel with a great location by the train depot.

bathroom had no shelf to put your toothbrush and other items. No wash clothes and only had a couple TV channels mostly qvc. Biergarten was really nice the breakfast buffet and restaurant was great. There was a young blond waitress with and accent she was really friendly and smiled the whole time. The hotel is very close to the Kehlsteinhaus and Koenigsee. It's right by the river and street so it was a little noisy but great location.

Nice hotel close to main train and bus station. Its just a 5 minute walk into the town centre ..this is our 2nd stay within a year and i am glad to say the hotel rooms improvements are nicely done..

In a great location right on the river. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. Breakfast was included and had a lot of fresh options and a wide variety at the buffet.

Loved our stay here! When we arrived Sam, at the front desk, helped us get settled straight away. The hotel is directly across the street from the train station but you cannot hear trains pass. We got a room over looking the river which was very relaxing. The breakfast, which was included, was great!

The hotel was very nice, clean, in good shape, but with limited amenities (e.g., no refrigerator or safe, or lotions in the bathroom). The desk staff was very helpful.

The hotel overlooked a river. It was also on a traffic circle and across from the bus station but near was heard. The location was easy to access all points of interest. Breakfast was outstanding and dinner was good. There is not many dining options in October. There are grocery stores nearby. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The only down side would have been a slow elevator during busy season.

Wonderful hotel in a beautiful location on a sparkling clear river. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the river and was put to sleep each night with the sound of the water. Staff was excellent and the food at their restaurant was excellent as well. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Great town and good location
Great access to town, train and bus stations. The dinner and breakfast were also good. Being from the US we are used to AC in the rooms so were very warm for us. They did loan a small fan which helped.

Poor communication about how the electric stays on in the room. Was not told that it was necessary to keep the room key in the holder by the door; when the lights went out I thought I blew a fuse. Also no bottled water for sale at the bar and no ice

This is a lovely hotel. Restaurant/biergarden on site. Staff very friendly and helpful. It is across the street from the train and bus station. A bit of a walk into town. We would stay again!

Lovely hotel in a great location in Berchtesgaden. View from our room of the alps was beautiful. Staff was friendly, breakfast was excellent, room was clean and spacious. Ordering the 'lunch bucket' was a great deal. Easy walk to a large grocery store, gelato, train station, and city center.

Conveniently located within a picturesque 15 minute walk to Old Town Berchtesgaden. Clean and well maintained with a friendly and helpful front desk. We didn't have the opportunity to try the restaurant but we did enjoy relaxing in the onsite beer garden, which sits right next to the river. Great breakfast included. I would definitely stay here again

A fantastic place. Friendly staff and very helpful, making the bus/train pass available when I had no idea; well worth the €5 deposit to open up the locality free of charge. The kind of place that really deserves to thrive and just 30 seconds from the Hbf and buses.
