The hotel is located in a historic, well kept building very well situated at the beginning of the main shopping street. The front desk was very friendly and guided us personally to a beautiful room. Very comfortable bed and the room had many amenities (even an umbrella for guests to use). We travelled with our toddler and the room service had the cutest bed set up in the room for our son. The breakfast buffet is also recommendable. We would definitely return to this hotel on a future stay in Potsdam. Don't miss the KPI store and outlet right next to the hotel.

Boutique hotel in a stunning location. All major sites within walking distance or through frequent nearby public transport. Rooms very comfortable with air con and effective double glazing that eliminates street noise. Quality and quantity of foods for breakfast was excellent.

Needs a renovation. Carpet was shabby and stained. No electrical accommodations for cell phones, etc. Staff did not offer basic hospitality (I.e. water, coffee, suggestions where to sit and wait) when I arrived early and my room wasn’t ready.

Staff charged me again for the room even though I prepaid via expedia. Spent an unnecessary half an hour to settle the issue, lady at the front desk was nonchalant and slow in resolving. That’s half an hour of day time when the sun sets at 4.30pm. Also, stuck behind the wardrobe, there’s a list of cost of every single thing in the room.

We arrived with friends and they were placed in the main hotel which had air conditioning in room. We were placed in a building next door and there was no air conditioning. The refrigerator in the kitchenette did not work either. The location of the hotel was great but the little touches were lacking.

Spent 3 hectic days in Berlin. Then 3 wonderful days in Potsdam. The hotel exceeded our expectations - we had 2 rooms. - both larger than normal rooms with luxury touches. The staff were extremely helpful. The location - first class- adjacent to the Brandenburg gate (yes there is more than one gate). Potsdam and the surrounding area is genuinely worth a visit. Even the weather was warm and sunny.

The location of this hotel is just prefect for tourist. You have everything needed around. You can walk to the famous Schloss Sanssouci in 10 minutes. There are lots of shop and restaurant that you can spend your whole day on it and never got bored. Also, parking lot right in front of the hotel and it takes only 12 euro a night. The room is clean and quiet, i love the breakfast buffet hotel provided, every selection is decent and we feel warm on the service. Just one thing, they have elevators in the hotel however as we were at 3rd floor, we need to switch another elevator and there is stair, only few steps in between. it was quite inconvenience if you have large suitcase. However, overall the hotel is prefect, we will sure to recommend to everyone go to Potsdam!

Parking at the opposite underground of the hotel, not easy for people who check in 1st time. We have to go to 1st floor and go down some stairs and use another elevator to our room. Staffs are nice, rooms are clean

Unacceptable business practices. Please do not support this business and book somewhere else. We had prepaid and received confirmation of our reservations several weeks before travelling to Germany. The day before checking in, the hotel notified us that we had been bumped because of overbooking and that we had to stay in another hotel, an annoying 20 to 40 minute tram ride away from the downtown core. Totally unethical practice when the reservations had been done well in advance, prepaid and confirmed. This hotel should be removed from Expedia’s offering.

Staffs were missing all the time and not at the reception area. Had some issues in the room and no one at the reception picked up the phone to provide their support. The service attitude is also poor.

Excellent location. Great property. Great rooms & overall service. Did not like the individual twin beds and separate linens when a large double is requested. Need option for a real double bed & linens or at least a good mattress topper. Service was excellent until the last day. The maid left us with no toilet paper, no tissues - which we did not discover until late at night when we were ready to go to bed and it was too late to call. She also did not replace our soiled wash cloth and did not replenish lotions as they had on other days. If it weren't for this we would have rated it a 10!!

Excellent accommodations and great location.
We probably had one of the most remote rooms in the hotel, but the long journey to the room was rewarded with a beautiful, modern, clean and very comfortable room. Our compliments to the very charming young woman who checked us in and gave us some excellent local recommendations. We didn't catch her name but she was the most customer oriented hotel employee we met over our entire two week trip through Germany.

The Hotel was an excellent choice for seeing the sites in Potsdam. We stayed in a premium room and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. Great location and friendly staff. Many restaurants and shopping choices. The hotel is located in a pedestrian walking area. Paid parking was available across the street. However, there was no parking discount available when staying at the hotel.

A Great Place To Stay in Pottsdam
Hotel is in a great location. You can walk to the center city. Hotel has great size room and bathroom for a hotel in Germany. Staff very helpful. Only negative, the breakfast is very expensive, $16 euros per person. There is a pastry shop three doors down from hotel. Parking is $12. This should be in hotel review.

Modern and comfortable in all reapects. Excellent location. Good a/c, noiceless and effective. Excellent bathroom with both a bathtub and shower cubicle. Our room looked out at a very busy and noisy square in front of the Potstam Branderburg Gate, but we heard no noise from outside in the room --- the best sound proving we have experiened in years. The breakfast was very good. The internet connection was adequate. The only irritating feature was that after even a shortest break one had to go through the three-step login process all over again. The staff was helpful. Very good hotel.

Had a brilliant stay at this hotel, staff were lovely, breakfast had everything you could want and more. If you like a quite room to sleep this is the place, although in the center of Potsdam and easy walking to main pedestrian high street and other tourist attractions, very quiet inside. Would certainly return to see it in the summer time.

I very much enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is comfortable, clean and very pleasant. The bathroom is very modern, nice fixtures. There are bathrobes and slippers for added comfort. The room is nicely decorated, flat-screen TV, minibar with reasonable prices. Chocolates on night stands. The breakfast is splendid, many choices, fresh, looks great and tasty. There are a lot of nice details, like stylish cups, etc. The internet works fine. There is a little bar at the hotel and a restaurant in the adjacent building. You can sit outside, sip wine and watch people passing by. The hotel is close to the Sanssouci park that is gorgeous, with a couple of palaces on the grounds. I am looking forward to returning to this hotel on my next trip to Potsdam.

Sehr gutes Frühstück, hervorragende Lage, nettes Personal. Teppich in den Zimmern sollte mal erneuert werden. Beim Frühstück als Einziges zu bemängeln sind etwas die Brötchen. Könnten etwas knackiger sein. Für Potsdam ist das Hotel wirklich empfehlenswert.

Wir waren das zweite Mal im Hotel Brandenburger Tor gewesen und es hat uns wieder gut gefallen. Das Hotel hat sehr viel Charme und das Frühstücksbuffet ist ganz wunderbar. Es gibt eine tolle Auswahl und auch der Frühstücksraum „Luisenzimmer“ ist sehr hübsch. Es gibt mit eine begrenzte Anzahl an Parkplätzen auf dem Innenhof des Hotels. Dafür kann man allerdings im fußläufigen Parkhaus für 18€ pro Nacht parken. Das ist super. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Lage direkt am Brandenburger Tor und gegenüber vom Luisenplatz, Weihnachtsmarkt buchstäblich vor der Tür bzw. unter dem Fenster. Abends dennoch ruhig, da Buden um 21:00 Uhr schliessen, nur Uhr mit Glockenspiel noch zu hören, für leichte Schläfer vielleicht störend (mit Ohrstöpseln dann aber auch kein Problem). Freundlicher, unkomplizierter Check-in, Suite gross und hell, Heizung gut mit Digital-Thermostaten steuerbar, Bad ebenfalls gross mit Eckbadewanne und separater Dusche sowie separater Toilette, Minibar mit kostenlosen Getränken (leider weniger Softdrinks als Bier, aber wer mag da schon meckern…) und Schokolade. Frühstück eher hochpreisig, aber gut in Auswahl und Qualität, obgleich Potential nach oben sicher in jeder Hinsicht vorhanden ist. Dennoch würden wir das Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
