"I travelled to Liverpool to attend a pre-season friendly at Anfield, and The Gleb was ideally located due to its fairly short distance from the stadium. The hotel itself was very picturesque from the outside and my room very well laid out, clean, comfy and modern, with a terrific ensuite bathroom—and Aircon! Paul—the owner—was a lovely chap who was very thorough on my arrival. The fact he was a fellow red gets him 5 stars alone! It was only a short stay, but I have bookmarked it for a future stay, and I can't recommend it enough... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

"Mattresses were exceedingly firm but supportive, breakfast was basic but filling and hot, bar unfortunately closed at 10:30, parking good. Check in easy but not sure about the practice of requiring a £50 deposit on top of prepaid stay with the promise it will be refunded within 10 days. Overall good value for money."

"Went for the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale. The hotel was super close to the train to reach all our destinations. Wish the bar was open downstairs!"

"I had a lovely stay at Aberley House, whilst taking in 2 days golf at Royal Birkdale for the British Open. The location was great and just a 10 minute walk to the train station and local amenities. Plenty of parking available and I found the property very clean and the host was very helpful. The games room was an extra bonus. Breakfast was very good and I would stay here again if in the area."
