Royal Hotel Carlton

8/10 Good
"Royal Hotel Carlton is a very nice, clean hotel with a pleasant atmosphere and wonderful staff overall. I would definitely stay here again. After a 17-hour flight, we were exhausted and looking forward to relaxing with a cappuccino. Upon check-in, the front desk staff was extremely friendly and told us we could go to the restaurant for one. Since our room was not ready yet, we had not been given a room number. As we walked to the restaurant, a gentleman wearing glasses and a suit stopped us and asked for our room number. We explained that we had just checked in and that the front desk had told us we could enjoy a cappuccino while waiting for our room. Unfortunately, he was quite rude and unhelpful. I’m not sure if he was the hotel manager or another member of management, but regardless of his position, I feel we could have been treated with more courtesy, especially after such a long journey. Just when we were walking away, a very kind lady came after us and invited us to meet her at the bar. She personally made us cappuccinos and brought us some pastries. **She completely turned around what had started as a disappointing experience.** Her kindness and hospitality were truly appreciated. Thank you to that wonderful lady for going above and beyond. She saved the experience for us, and I will definitely be back to **Royal Hotel Carlton**. God bless her!"

"Everything and everyone there was amazing. The ONLY thing I would suggest is that they pony up for some soft sheets and pillowcases. Shockingly stiff and uncomfortable. We resorted to wrapping our pillow with a t-shirt."
